Hi All,

Has anyone who applied between April 1st and 3rd received a decision on Tier general extension.

I applied on 1st PEO but was told further investigation required and I have not heard anything since then

Hi Phemny - I applied on the 2nd of April through the postal route. Not heard anything yet. My biometrics were submitted on the 24th though - so maybe this could be one reason. Though it has a taken a lot of time.

Hey - I have not been contacted for interview (yet). No I have not reached them for an update - as long as this is in service standards (6 months) - there is no specific update that can be shared. Frankly - there are two options, either you withdraw or wait.

Any update from anyone still waiting for Tier 1 General extension status. I made my application on the 2nd, fees collected on the 11th, Acknowledgement letter dated 13th, Biometric letter dated 21st, biometrics submitted on the 24th. No news since then. I am a permanent employee on a salary (so showed company letter with gross and net earnings and bank statements from HSBC). Any news/update would be welcome.

Hi phemmy,

Thank you for your E-mail. Have you been asked for interview? You're on permanent job or self-employed?

My case is also similar but submitted my application by post on 4th April. I gave my interview and waiting for my application and hopefully this week.

At Sandvika,
I wonder for your situation. Your application is straight forward one. Have you applied your previous extension using self-employment?
Please let me know.

paboluuk

Hey Pabluuk,

Not sure why my case has taken so long. Its relatively straightforward. My previous applications have all been on basis of salary earnings (letter from employer or payslips) and bank statements. Never had to wait so long. Must be because I applied so late (2nd april posted, 7th april received at home office) and then gave biometrics.

Are you self employed?

@ Phemmy - were you also self employed?

Hi sandvika,

More or less my application dates were nearly coincides with your application dates. Yes, I'm Employed + Self Employed. Might be the case as the application has submitted just before closing date and they might have received in huge number. Please let me know as soon as you heard from HO.

paboluuk

Hi all

Just an update I received BRP cards for myself and two dependants TOADAY (extension for further three years) but haven’t received my documents yet.

Further details:
1. Current vignette: Tier 1 General (2nd Extension)
2. Date of expiry of current leave: 28/06/ 2015
3. Number of dependents applying at same time: 02
4. Date application posted: 04/04/2015 (main applicant)
5. Date application applied: 02/04/2015(online for dependents)
6. Date payment debited: 10/04/2015
7. Payment mode: Credit Card
8. Acknowledgement letter received: 21/04/2015(main)
9. Biometric letter received: 21/04/2015(main)
10. Biometric letter received dependents: 15/04/2015
11. Date of biometrics enrolment: 30/04/2015(main)
12. Date of biometrics enrolment dependents: 24/04/2015
13. Date of approval: 26/05/2015
14. Passport received: no
15: BRP received all: 28/05/2015
16. Date of return of passport and other documents: still awaiting

My case was very simple and straight forward, I am employed and earn well above the required amount (£22600) .I was also employed on my first extension back in 2013 however initial application(2010) was self (4k) + employment and tax and NI was paid accordingly.
I hope those who applied in last minute will get good news shortly.

Thanks for the update Frankel. Great news.

I am still waiting for a response to my application made on the 2nd of April (received 7th April, Biometric letter dated 21st April, Biometrics submitted 24th April). Not sure why this is taking so long? Any one else has any update? Am obviously very nervous what's going on? My case was quite straight forward actually and I had applied only to be on the safe side (I had enough leave to cover till ILR).

Hi All,

I was on ILR last year (got ILR after 5years on tier 1) but i got the British citizenship and British Passport now after 1 year on ILR.

My wife is still on TIER 1 DEPENDENDENT visa which will expire in 2017...when she will need ONE more ext on tier 1 dependent visa...to complete 5years to qualify for ILR..correct?

what are the best OPTIONS...as i am british citizen now

... should she wait till 2017 when her tier 1 dependent visa expire ...AND apply for another tier 1 dependent visa extension....???

... Or is there any other option (as I have become British citizen now )??

PLEASE ADVISE.

thanks
