Great news!

I applied on the 3rd of December as well. Sadly, I'm still waiting to hear from them. Just worried as I was once refused a visa and was considered an "illegal immigrant" at some point. I managed to regularise my stay after that period but rumour has it that that is considered as "not being of good character" as I breached the immigration rules. I know a couple of people that have been refused on that basis and only got £80 back.

Does anyone else know about this?

You seem like a newbie to the forum.
There's quite a lot of info about the topic here already.
Read John Vine's report and the changes from from 11 Dec 2014. These changes affect, it seems, all determinations made after that date.
I guess it's still wise to apply for a reconsideration if you get a refusal.

I applied last week of November , HO got my application first day of December , I called last week and they told me still under consideration !!
I don't know really what's they problem, we have been waiting long and paid £1k for each applicant but they playing whit it, I'm really got maaaaaaad
Hope get it this month, one of my friend applied August 2014 and get the approval last week! Nearly 10 month .

I applied on the 5th, they received my application on the 8th. I'm still waiting as well keep being positive and concentrate on the positive things going on in our lives. in due time the approvals will come through x

Hi everyone, I applied back in Dec 2014 and it has been 6 months now - I see on this forum that people mention about phoning HO. Does anyone know which number? I tried the 0300 123 2253 and didn't find it helpful at all... any other suggestions??

0300 123 2253 Hi this is the number I tried couple of time , they got my detail and told me some one will beck to me in 72 hours . They cake me but didn't gave me any news! Just told me the application is under consideration and I must wait.
That's I find I can't do anything and only time is the best solution .

UPDATE**** Got my approval today. Letter dated 24/06/2009, a little over 6 months. TO GOD BE THE GLORY**

NB**I have had refugee status during the 5 years and was granted leave to remain indefinitely in 2013. Now, I don't know how far true this is, but I was told that they are changing the eligibility from 5 years to 10 years for persons that once had refugee status. So could this be the reason they are holding on to my application as it's now coming to 3 months since i submitted my application?

Finally got my approval on yesterday 2th July .
Applied on 24th November 2015, HO got my application on 1th December 2014.
Later dated 24th jun 2015

applied on 9th December 2014; no news still ... straight forward case ...

I didn't contact anyone; neither HO or MP ... I don't think it helps.

the best idea to chase them is to ask them to return your documents back.

Most apply through NCS and that wouldn't work..
