Applied on 19th January 2015, at Middlesbrough Council - NCS, payment debited on 25th January 2015, acknowledgment letter dated (26th January 2015), received on 30th January 2015.

waiting from the end of January 2015 , very stress time . I'm praying to the end of my long story with home office soon , i'm almost retired man now

I have been reading this forum since jan2015. I applied on 8th January 2015. Still waiting for approval.

I applied on 19 of Jan and yesterday i received a letter from home asking for all my original documents. But i applied through NCS and they checked all my documents. I do not understand why???
Home office asked me to provide following original document documents;

All my passports which covers last 10 years

Marriage Certificate (even my wife never been in this country and nothing to do with my residential status)

Permanent Residence Card

Counter Part Driving Licence

Is this something worrying or it means they are looking to my application and its on final stage ???

It seems that ukba is using every single method to bring delays. What's the point of using ncs service when you need to send original. . what documents have they requested??

You wrote previously that you are applying as EEA family member. How is it possible that your wife has never been with you in the UK? Maybe that's why they are asking you for these documents?

did not send any documentation only ilr copy + old passport copy +an form

was straight forward case still they took 5 month

Divorce is irrelevant to get naturalizations. I think they are about to make decision but only want to check your absence.

Unfortunate they know the pain we are going through, that is why they are sending it by snail mail. I am sure they are taking their own sweet time to post it and then must be requesting post office to delay it as much possible. Where in this world a letter takes ten days to reach. Some people put the special delivery envelope but they have received their prepaid envelop back along with the documents in that third class mail. I think some one has to take them to court for torturing those, who uprooted them selves on the promises of this so called oldest democracy.

I just got my ILR approved as a partner of a British citizen and I want to apply for British citizenship.
I checked on the gov.uk website and it cost £1005 to be naturalised as a citizen but I have a close friend and another friend in college who are both naturalised British but they said they didn't pay this much. They only paid £80 - £100 or so. Please shed more light on this for me and I'm sorry for my naivety.

hi mate , you are in the wrong topic , any way yes it cost you £1005 and £50 for live in uk test plus English language test cost and at least £60 if you use nationality checking service and plus all this if you not lucky a long waiting time full of stress and a result can be easy negative with the stupid new rules came on 12/12/2014 , so welcome to the british citizenship world , good luck mate

Many congrats and thanks for updating here. This forum has been quiet for a few days now and I really hope there are some positive updates for the Jan 2015 outstanding applications this week. For me, it has been over 5 months now.
