Is the Durham office processing swiftly this year or is it chaotic like last year? Would you advise applying to Peterborough instead? Special Delivery or Check/Send?

Folks, I have an interview today, can you please tell me what do I need to take with me i.e. passport, ID etc.

The invitation letter doesn't say anything on this front.

I sent the application last week but still no any letter of appointment or whatsoever. Is this normal guys???

The children passports are taking longer than adult passports, I don't understand the reason, I did not still get any confirmation or acknowledgement letter from the HMPO, any other parents experiencing this please?

Hi Guys,

I applied for my first passport (Naturalised) from Overseas. I sent it by normal post From Germany on 15 June 15. I receieved my passport today 07 July 15. Hoever i was only given a passport valid for 12 months.

Has anyone had any experience of applying from Overseas and with the same situation as mine ie (1 year Passoprt)?

Any advice is duly appreciated.

When you applied for naturalisation did you put the UK when it asks where you intend to live once naturalised? cos if you did, and dont live in the UK, technically they can revoke the citizenship (although it is rare.)

Yes i did put UK down. However work commitments doesnt allow me to me in the UK all the time. But that doesnt warrant me receiving a years passport instead of 10 years?

Did they text you to let you know it's printed? Was your appointment in the morrningn? Mine was at 4pm and havnt received a text yet

Please explain further. What you're saying is that a British citizen from birth can live and work anywhere in the world but a naturalised citizen don't have that right. That don't make sense?

No. They cant revoke citizenship on that basis that you chose to live abroad. Though ILR gets revoked if you spent more than 2 years abroad in one go.
