Decision after Biometrics

Hi All,

Was just wondering how long it will take the home office to make decision on my application. I am on a 5 year route. Below is the timeline

1st 2.5 years granted on the 24-12-2012
Expired on 24-06-2015
IHS surcharge paid on 22-06-2015
Application made on the 23-06-2015
Account debited on 29-06-2015
Biometrics done on 08-07-2015
Awaiting Decision............

I am fully aware it takes 8 weeks to make decision but 8 weeks is like 8 years now. I need to get back to work as my earlier contract have finished prior to my application even though my sponsor (my wife) is currently working. I believe my application is straight forward but I was wondering why they haven't even sent me any letter. I have declined so many job offers cos of this and some of the recruitment agency wouldn't want to listen when I mention about my current situation.

Any advice?
