Countless thanks to the Almighty, We received our brown envelopes today

Thanks to this forum and all of its members for sharing valuable information and helping out each other. Please see our timeline as below.

Eligibility criteria: Tier 1 (G) 5 Years + 1 year on ILR
Number of applicants: 2 (Myself and wife)
Language criteria met: UK degree for myself and wife's degree from abroad + Expired IELTS
Method of application: NCS
Council name if NCS used: Edinburgh
Date of application: 01/04/2015
Application received by HO: 02/04/2015
Payment method: CC
Payment taken: 21/04/2015
Date of acknowledgment: 25/04/2015
Date approval received: 30/07/2015 (dated 21/07/2015)
Date of ceremony: Yet to be booked

Guys.
I applied via NCS on 31/3 and UKBA received it on 2/4 .

I mailed UKBA and they said that a decision has been made on 17 july and that i should expect a letter with an invitation to attend the ceremony - which kind of suggests it is probably approved though the email didn't explicitly mention that.

But then i am still waiting. I got to know that they are sending by second class mail - really don't know how long does it take to receive a mail dated 17th july.

anybody else who has applied in this timeline still waiting for approval? or am i the last one?

Do they really give this information over the phone that decision has been made in your favour?

As I said, they didn't say yes or no but they did mention a decision has been taken on 17th july and you should receive a letter shortly inviting you to attend the ceremony - this was the statement in the email i received. (It was not telephonic)

I'm very surprised this information was divulged, even by email. I thought all the literature for Naturailsation said they would not give update on the progress of applications.

Though my kids application should be easy now

Language criteria met: LIUK and B1 English for Main applicant and spouse(dependant) PBS print out on Degree from India
Current nationality: Indian
Method of application: NCS - Croydon
Date of application: 31st March 2015

Date of receipt by UKBA: 02-Apr-2015
Date of debit or clearance of fees: 23-04-2015
Date of acknowledgment: 30-04-2015

Date of ceremony: Need to contact council I guess

I cannot thank enough the moderators and all the individual members who have been of great help in my entire journey.

It's been now several weeks since all the approvals stalled at April 1 mark. I am beginning to suspect that there is some technical issue which prevents them from considering post- biometric applications.

+1 on this. I agree. Before I assumed that it was just a decision to work through their Jan/Feb/Mar backlogs before starting on the post-biometrics. But now the fact they've been stuck at 1/2 April for weeks suggests that there might be something up. The Home Office are the most useless organisation on earth with these sorts of things so an almighty admin c**kup would be totally in line with their form so far. They already sent us a second biometric letter by mistake a whole month after my OH had already submitted them.

Having said this, it might just be that there are additional "backroom" stages to the post-biometric process that we are unaware of. But you'd hope that they'd be capable of doing these after so much time.

There really isn't any evidence to indicate there is a problem with april applicants who are starting out on the new biometric process. I have been following this thread closely and we only started seeing approvals from april applicants at the start of this week. So far, we have only seen approvals from folks so sent off their applications on 1st april or those whose applications were received by the 2nd of April. Give it another week or two before getting worried and even at that, no one can really say there is a mess up going on... Keep following the thread and we will learn more in the coming weeks.

This isn't quite true. We had our first April approval on 16 July which is a full 2 weeks ago, since which we haven't seen any progress. Which suggests that they have been consciously avoiding doing the post-biometric people so far.

You may be right though. As I said, it may be that there is some clunky process that needs to end first before they move onto us. Or it might just be a decision to literally work through every relatively straightforward pre-April 6th application before starting on us. Remember there are still lots of people waiting from the beginning of March (and earlier in a few cases).

i have been a secret onlooker of this forum for more than 4 months now...i really appreciated the admin and members of this post for providing useful information and data time to time. I applied for Naturalisation in April and since then this forum have been my one stop go to place for day to day progress on Home office processing on our applications. I cant deny that in the last few weeks i have been already loosing patience but thanks to almighty i have been little lucky lately. Good luck to all those who are waiting...here is my timeline:

Like I said in my previous post earlier. The true indication is when the first BRP applicant has been approved. There's no point speculating or loosing sleep over this. As Baz Lurman said "worrying is like trying to solve Algebra by chewing bubble gum". So please keep yourselves busy with whatever it is you do. I'm in the same boat as I applied 29/04/2015.
