How can you be legal if your visa has expired?Ln1124 wrote:I just found out that my situation is more complicated than it should be: my U.S. visa already expired, I just have a document (I-20) stating that I am a student from a U.S. School and that the program's length is about 2 years starting August 2015. I am wondering if that paper should be enough to prove to the UK embassy in the U.S. that I am staying here legally for at least another 6 months and can be granted a U.K visa from here or do I have to go back to My home country and apply for a UK visa from there?
This thread is almost 3 years old and information may now be out of date. Always a risk when digging up old threads!jidutm wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2018 4:40 pmLn1124 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2015 7:20 pmHi guys,
I am currently residing in the US under student visa (F1) and not US citizen. I'm from an Asian country. I'd like to ask if I need to go back to my home country to apply for the Tier 2 (general) visa or I can still apply for it from the US. I have been looking around but could not find any.
Any documents or comments would be very appreciated.
Thank you guys!!!
Hi,
I am currently in a similar situation but I have been living in Sweden Since Sep 2015. My my residence permit has ended in Dec 2017 and have applied for extension but my application is pending.
So we did you do? did you apply from US or India?
Thanks in advance
