FLR (M) Query: Can Someone help please ??

Section 7B - Maintenance
You only need to complete this section if:
(i) You qualify for an exemption from meeting the income threshold element of the financial requirement.
(ii) You were granted leave to enter or remain as a partner under Chapter 8 of the Immigration Rules following an application submitted before 9 July 2012.
You must provide evidence that your partner is able to adequately maintain you and any dependants in the United Kingdom without recourse to public funds.
All applicants must provide specified evidence set out in Appendix FM-SE of the Immigration Rules unless they have had leave under Part 8 of the Immigration Rules before 9 July 2012 (excluding those applicants whose last leave was as the partner of a Relevant PBS migrant). For further details see FLR(M) guidance note.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My Wife received approval as a Tier 2 General Dependent on 2nd July 2012, She travelled to UK on 29 July 2012. I am not sure if we have or do not have to fill in Section 7B ? - as she was a points based system visa dependent.. Any help would be really appreciated.

Hi

A quick question might be not relevant but thought ask it anyway....My wife wants to travel Pakistan with my son and she will be staying atleast 4 months... She is currently on Paternity leave(working) and her current visa status is FLR(M) and my son(month old) who is British national.
My question is if she intend to stay more then three months, does her or my son NHS support will continue on there return or there will any other formality needed so they can back on nHS register? Please be advise we paid for my wife NHS when we switch the category to FLR(M). and is there anything else which can effect if they stay outside UK more then three months?

Thanks for your help

Hi pondjumper!

Sorry to bother you a month after your visa was approved (congratulations btw!). I just wanted to ask you about your timeline. It says that you found out your visa was granted on the 12th of June. I just was wondering how you found out? Did they email/call/send a letter? I haven't found many instances where they were actually informed a decision had been made most say that they suddenly received the BRP/Passport/Documents.

Thank you! Hope you are doing well! :D

Hi MHerbs,

Congratulations on your approval!. I just wanted to ask you about your timeline, like I'm asking others here. It says on your timeline that you found out your visa was granted on the 10th of June. How did they let you know? Did they email you, call you or send you a letter? Most people say they suddenly received the BRP/Passport/Documents without any notification that it had been approved beforehand.

Hope you are doing well! Thank you!

Oh, OK. I was hoping they would notify us beforehand to make sure we are home to receive it. Thank you for your reply!

Regarding Flr(m)

Post by Westplace_58 » Fri Jul 31, 2015 3:51 pm

Hi everyone,

Can somebody please inform me about flr(m) calculation and the right route/category to choose?
I'm not a student but I'm still only able to work 20hrs, my wife is a British citizen. I have applied flr(fp) on 2014. At the time I applied for flr(fp) my wife was out of work. I was the only one working 20hrs/week. We got refused in January 2015. We appealed. During this time, my wife has found work and we are now meeting the £18600 between us. We are both on non salaried income.
My questions are :

1. Should we withdraw the appeal and do a fresh application flr(m)?

2. If we withdraw our appeal, do I still have the right to work in the UK ?

3. If I do a fresh application, will I lose the right to appeal again?

4. Can you please give me a list of documents we need for the flr(m) application (if we need them)?

5. We are both on non-salaried income, which category are we in?

Thanks in advance.

You have to wait 28 days before completing 30 months:
Appendix FM Section 1.0a given to decision makers states "They should make that application no more than 28 days before their extant leave is due to expire, or no more than 28 days before they have completed 30 months in the UK with such leave."

Is it possible to contact UKVI to request an update on the postal application? I see that people applying to enter as spouses post about emailing UKVI and getting a (vague) update but I'm unsure if those of us applying for FLR can get a similar update too. Problem is there is no easy access to the letter box where I live so I worry that if the try to deliver the documents there is no way to do it if I'm not in so also no way to leave a notification. What made things complicated for me is that I can't track the special delivery package because I wasn't given a tracking code! This is why I'm wondering if I can contact UKVI for an update so that I will know at least if I should have received something already.

Oh no! I just sent off the docs for my husbands application and I think we missed this in the many readings of rules. :(

He first arrived on 12 Feb 2013, and his visa is due to expire on October 16th, so would today be within this - "no more than 28 days before they have completed 30 months in the UK with such leave." ??

I'm now in a mad panic feeling sick to my stomach and wondering if i should leg it down to the post office to see if i can retrieve the package :(

You were right, we got the acknowledgement letter middle of last week, so all is ok (at least for now!).

Timeline so far:

fLR(M) sent: 19/08/2015 special delivery
Fee deducted: 21/08/2015
Acknowledge letter, Biometric appointment and request for missing info - all in one package: 26/08/2015.
Sent back missing answers ( ) & biometrics enrolled: 27/08/2015

Now we wait.
