3. A8 NATIONALS

Nationals of A8 Member States who wish to exercise their treaty rights in the UK, have a right of residence here under the Immigration (European Economic Area) Regulations 2006 provided that they are:

• Self-employed
• Self-sufficient
• Students
• Self-employed persons who have ceased activity

They are eligible to apply for registration certificates and should be treated in the same way as nationals of the other Member States. Their family members are entitled to the same rights as family members of other EEA nationals and are eligible to apply for residence cards/EEA family permits.

A8 national workers may be required to register in the UK with the Worker Registration Scheme.

Moreover, if you are an A8 student, then I think that you may use the form EEA1, since A8 students are:
eligible to apply for registration certificates and should be treated in the same way as nationals of the other Member States.

If an A8 student, who is also working, is considered as an A8 worker, then you and your husband would have to follow the A8 worker route.
