Tourist Visa on Arrival in India for UK Citizens?

With the announcement by the Indian FM to add 150 countries to the TVoA Scheme, is there any hope that United kingdom will be added?
When is it likely to come into force?

Atleast this is what it says now. UK seems to be included in that.

Noone can know for sure until we get a gazzette notification

BTW I too used google searched for "150 more countries in visa on arrival india united kingdom"
and the 2nd hit is the page i have pointed above

the new rule is not yet operational.

There is a news going around some Indian language (UK based news) that 31 more countries have been added to the list, but not official as they are not in the list on TVOA website. Any confirmed reports?
GB is added along with 30 other countries.

Are they going to roll this out for UK citizens? could not find UK mentioned on the list of qualified countries (16/06/2015)

No Idea (we are dealing with Govt of India LOL!!)

Its published in some Indian Media that UK has been added to the list, but the list does not show the countries mention!! Maybe its not entered into the portal.

I read on traveldaily that it is set for July 2015, no dates nor confirmation yet.

Not waiting for it anymore applying for entry visa today.

eVisa is being extended to UK citizens from 15th Aug.

anyone has applied through e-visa, may I have know what type of questions they normally ask in the form? is a straight forward application?

What I am getting here is will they ask for my previous indian visa application?
