Hi Indianlonly, I just saw your above post. You did not pay for a solicitor, did you? I hope you did not :)
It's a WASTE OF MONEY! £800? Seriously :?: :!: :?: Even if it was £1 it's still waste of money.

Why would anyone pay that large amount of money for PR application to a solicitor or to so-called legal advisors? Anyone can do it themselves as long as they are capable of collecting their own PR application documents such as P60s, council tax letters, bank statements, pay slips etc. for the 5 years period.

If anyone has got any questions about the application process and PR application form sections there are plenty of topics on this forum (and on the similar ones - just ask to Mr. Google) that would answer those questions.
Forza, I would not spend that much myself. But I think there are some very peculiar cases that I have seen mainly when it comes to EEA-Non-EEA arrangement. A lot of the relationships have not ended very well and a lot of them are in a situation where they do not really have the legal background to prove legitimacy of their co-existence. I feel only those should go to specialist lawyer. Else I believe the application was designed for normal people with average literacy skill. May main concern emanates from the fact that there are a lot of people with average literacy skill who are classifying them as immigration lawyers and scavenging on unsuspecting applicants.

Forza I think everyone on this forum is hoping to hear good news from you, every day im checking the forum but it seems you still haven't heard back, I would like to ask you if you also sent EEA3 for your partner or just EEA4 for you. Someone mentioned in this forum that if we apply for EEA3 and EEA4 together it is more likely to receive it sooner but i really doubt this is the case. I have applied at the end of april and 3 months and half already passed. They have the power to speed it up if they wanted to just like they do with European applications.
Please share hear if anyone knows of any cases when someone received the new biometrics pr card.
Good luck to everyone.
Hi Sid, it was me who mentioned if you apply together that your application gets processed quicker. It is the case and can be confirmed from HO also. Secondly, there is nothing called EEA3 or EEA4 any more. It is called EEA (PR) application. Your EEA partner needs to apply and you will have to be tagged along to the application to get it in 2 months flat. Else be prepared for a minimum 4 months wait since arrival of COA. Note it does not matter when you applied. Once your COA is generated, that is when your real timeline starts. On an average, I am observing four months since COA is granted for an answer from HO. Wish you good luck. When did you apply?
Hi Liquidweb,

I sent my application on 30 of april, got biometric letter on 12 of may, submitted my biometrics information on 16 of may and received my COA of 27 of may. So I'm waiting for 3 months and a half since i posted the application. I'm so frustrated with this situation. So if you are correct i should still have to wait for 1 month and a half to get my PR card. I have not heard of anyone that have received the new biometric format card, have you? The HO probably is not even processing those, but i thought this would speed the process as by submitting the biometrics it gets a lot easier for them to check identities. I don't understand what is the matter with them, i just think this is a very big lack of respect with us that work hard and pay taxes and contribute to the Uk in a positive way. Good luck to you too.

I have not heard any non-EU PR applicants received their PRs since biometrics introduced but EU applicants.
March 2015 non-EU ones are under consideration I think currently. As quite a few non-EU members of the forum who applied in early or mid-March already received their PRs. It's pretty slow. Another week is over and no news from any late March PR applicants (from non-EU ones)...

They told me to wait 8 weeks to get a letter, didn't tell what exactly it should be.
Anyway, if someone need to contact biometrics department the email is: eurobiometrics@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk
If you don't get a letter in a week time after payment been taken it's better to write them with full information about you (name, DOB, address and passport number if known)

Hi aukro, what does it say on the biometrics letter? I think the new biometrics letter are the replacement of COA? I applied before the biometrics introduced and have not submitted any biometrics info at all.

Well, Forza_RC, there are three pages on this letter and there's only information about biometrics when, where, why, how you need to do it.

Hi aukro, I received my COA after 12
Days of submitting my biometrics, the HO won't issue Coa until they have your biometrics, so you can expect to get it within the next 2 weeks, I'm very surprised that it took 2 months for you to get your biometrics letter, I got my biometric letter 12 days after sending my application! Been waiting for my PR card for 3.5 months now! I wonder why is it taking so long to process applications!

Hi sidcostas!
Thanks for information, if everything is alright I will get my COA in two weeks time, hope it's not going to be two months waiting again. Not long left to wait for your PR card to arrive

Hey guys, I am new and tried to find answer to my question across the forum. Hopefully somebody would be able to help or clarify what we been doing wrong. So basically I have jointly applied with my Italian husband on the 28th of July for RP and registration( I am Russian). He received email confirmation, Payments and biometrics taken and today I have received COA, BUT WITHOUT RIGHT TO WORK. They explained that this is because we have not provided sufficient evidence of your sponsor exercising Treaty rights.
He has been living here for 5 years and I been here for four on Tier 4 though my BSc and MSc, we been together for two and half years, have been living together for year and half and got married in Italy in the end of June. He is self-employed musician and also has been working part-time (20-30 h/w) for more than two years.
We have included, our passports, two applications with only part-time employment details and employer declaration, marriage certificate and translation, his A.I.R.E( registration in the UK for Italian authorities) with translation, common bills and tenancy agreement, wed pictures and videos.
Can anybody let us know if we should start worrying/ thinking about potential appeal. Is it because he does not have full-time position? Or we should have attached additional confirmation from employer like letter or payments? The only reason why we haven't is because we applied together and all our documentation is shared, so his employer declaration seemed like more than enough(according to application guidelines). Pleas help :( :( :( :( :(

Hello! I did already, things are even worse, than I thought because my visa was automatically cancelled on basis of application. They say refer employer to the check line, in my experience employers try to avoid illegal employment at any costs. Completely lost, do not know what to do. It is not possible to survive 3-6 months without job

Hi All,

My wife (EEA national) sent EEA PR application, she is been in UK since 2009, and working full time since Jan 2010.

Time line
App sent: 4th Aug
received: 5th Aug (register delivery)
Money taken: 7th Aug
Email acknowledgment received: 13th Aug
COA: waiting
PR: waiting

I was wondering if any EEA national received email acknowledgment and what is in the email.

in the email:

Dear Mrs...
Case Id:....

Thank you for your application to the Home Office. Your application has been received and is being considered.

It may take up to six months to make a decision on your case. if we are unable to process you application within six months we will tell you as soon as possible.
.....

I thought EEA national will take less than six months, or is it an email they send to everybody?

Thank you

Hi olegunna,

your post makes no sense at all, you said HO letter on the 10/06 si submit biometrics then bellow you said biometric letter dated 23/06 and received 29/06. So what is the actual date you have received the biometric letter? So it has actually taken the HO to issue your COA? When I applied on end of april it has taken 12 days to get a letter asking me to submit biometrics and after i dis i got my COA 10 days after. So it taken from application date to COA around 27 days, but if taken the HO just to send your COA it means they have slow down even more. Who know how long it will take for them to start sending out the new Biometrics Pr cards.

Hi Sidcostas, on the original application I forgot to sign the bit for the biometric application even though I had filled out that section. Hope that clears it out

InsureAndGo WORLDWIDE travel insurance is not the same as comprehensive medical insurance. It does not count I am afraid. But do contact with your current insurance company ask them this. Perhaps they can upgrade your current policy or you can get a discount on comprehensive sickness insurance. I know how confusing it's - but do not hesitate to ask our share your situation on this forum as we are all here to exchange ideas and help each other.[/quote]

Hello Forza!
Hope you are well.
If I am self employed, I don't need a CIS, right?

Hi nikicibaba, yes normally it takes about 2-3 months max. for EU citizens to receive their PRs. That email is just a standard one send out to all PR applicants whether they are EU or non-EU citizens.
