March 2015 Naturalization application timeline

Alhamdulilah!!! Finally I got it and
I'm extextremely happy coz I can sleep at night now .
Without this board and the people here I think I would've gone crazy so thank you guys so very much.

My neighbour dropped by today with the famous brown envelop just to find out it's a missing supporting document letter dates 27th July and I must supply the missing document by 17th August (yesterday) :s

Two Questions

1.What step shell I take? call HO and explain that I only received the envelop today!!

2. The supporting document is a confirmation letter of which country the application will live in if the application is successful!!! Is this something I have to write? or need a letter from employer e.g employer!

I am afraid that HO only gives three weeks to respond to any additional documents and you can try your luck to call them tomorrow but i am not sure if they will consider it. if you have the name of your case worker then write a letter and explain your situation with the documents and send it with registered mail.

It is quiet unlikely that a normal post is not delivered by the door but to a neighbor!

Take the two actions below immediately:

Write a letter like any normal letter and send to them where ever they requested. Also email it to

1)
FurtherNationalityEnquiries@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk & nationalityenquiries@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk

In the letter write whatever country you intend to live in and in second paragraph mention the door number it got delivered to instead of yours.
2)

Post the letter by registered next day delivery as well.

Was it an A4 letter with registered signed for or ordinary second class?

Also call them and explain what you did.

I spoke to HMRC and they say that a letter was sent on 9th August 2015. I have not received anything yet. How long do you think i should wait and contact them. Normally a second class post should not be more than 5 working days?

Yes it has been delivered to a different flat and we have different entrances!

I just called and they mentioned what you just said to provide them with the letter and covering letter explaining the situation.

It was ordinarily second class- I am sending first class envelope with this time to avoid such mistakes.

Blimey it's tough isn't it - just the arrogance! I'm in the same boat as you mate, applied 27th March, still no news.

I wonder why they can't introduce an electronic system that can help you track your application progress online. Besides I think we are paying a lot of money for this service. Other gvt departments process applications for their services a lot quicker for less fees e.g. DVLA whilst also dealing with huge volumes of applications.

Hi everyone,

I have received ceremony invitation letter (18th August) from the council but no approval letter from HO yet. I am also asked to return the questionnaire to the council before the ceremony (09 September). However without approval letter and HO reference number, I can't do it. I also need to bring it for the ceremony. I am a bit worried now. Should I contact the council or wait for a few more days?

English- Life in UK and as I had ILR (English already checked as part of degree)the consultant said I do not need to submit further evidence.

Today I received a letter saying that I need to submit:
1)life in UK pass certificate
2) Evidence that I meet the English language qualification.

I handed in my Life in UK pass certificate when I submitted my application with the council. I do not have a photocopy of any proof. On my receipt from the council this has been ticked off as part of my supporting documents. Help?

When trying to access the points calculator- there is no longer an option for Tier 1 General. How do I print from the points based calculator when my option is no longer there? I do have a letter from university and NARIC letter as back up for this.

I would be most grateful for any help or suggestions.

you can try following:

Call the Home Office for pass letter. You won’t get a new one but they’ll tell you what to do.
Telephone: 03001 232 253
Alternatively tell the case worker certificate was sent via NCS already, include all evidence possible.

You have a UK based Grad or Post-Grad degree ? If no, then a NARIC approved document equating your degree to UK standards. This in its original form must be sent to case worker.

When looking through my visa file I found a photocopy of my Life in UK pass certificate. If I submit this and explain that the original was submitted at the NCS centre, do you think this is okay?

My degree is from outside UK- I have NARIC letter and letter from university stating that it was taught in English. Need to submit this tomorrow morning I feel.

On the bright side at least they are looking at mine!

I don't think HO and council post letters at the same time. If you have noticed, I have just joined the forum. So please don't discourage people from asking questions. I am worried that it might be lost. I need to fill the questionnaire and return it to council asap otherwise I have to rearrange my ceremony date.
