How to get an affidavit from Indian Embassy Officer

Hi,

I would like to know how can i get an affidavit from Indian Embassy Officer for a lost Education Certificate (SSLC Book)When I spoke to the concerned department in Kerala, India they said I need to get a sworn affidavit from the magistrate and as I'm not in the country I have to get the affidavit from the Indian Embassy officer.please can anyone tell me which office do i need to contact.
