Congratulations to all those who have received their approvals to date, it must be a great feeling :D

I just cant't fathom out how the HO are operating, there are a lot of April and even March applications outstanding their approvals, yet we are seeing 50% of the June applicants, according to the spreadsheet, getting their's. Wonders never cease??? Having looked at the spreadsheet, there almost seems to be a pattern of applications received on a Friday taking longer, or even being missed altogether, could be an interesting column to add along with nationalities and years since arriving in the UK too, maybe safa2015 could have a look into it for us.

Many thanks and good luck to all us approval seekers.

Just had a look at the spreadsheet and did a manual totting up of those that have received their approval against the HO received day and out of 103 approvals that have the received date posted, the values are as below:-

Monday = 25
Tuesday = 16
Wednesday = 16
Thursday = 30
Friday = 16

Not sure if it is conclusive data, but who knows? It's interesting trying to fathom out a system though? The lottery might be easier :?:

Hi All,

Please help me I have applied naturalisation on 07/May/2015. Today i have received later stating that i have not met the naturalisation criteria. below are the details:

First Time Entered in UK : 20/May/2009
Holiday Period:
25/Apr/2010 - 19/May/2010 - 23 days not in uk
21/Dec/2012 - 8/Jan/2013 -
24/May/2014 - 02/June/2014
20/Dec/2014 -04/Jan/2015
PR: Got ILR on 01/May/2014

In the letter it has mentioned like this:

Dear J,

I refer to your application for naturalisation as a British citizen under section 6(1) of the British Nationality ACT 1981.

A person applying under this section is expected to have been in the UK on the actual date 5 years before making the application.

Your application was received in the Home Office 0n 06 May 2015. You must therefore have been in the UK on 07/May/2015 to meet the requirement.

According to your application form, you left the United Kingdom on 25/04/2010 and returned on 19/05/2010.

As your were not in the UK unit on 07/05/2015, this requirement is not met.

However, if the application is re-signed at section 6 and returned to us, we will be able to continue out consideration.

If you wish to proceed with the application, please return the re-signed application form to us by 12/10/2015.

If no reply is received by 12/10/2015, the application will be refused and the application fee less the ceremony fee retained.

They have sent me a Declaration form to sign and date what I have submitted as part of initial naturalisation application .

Note: What i got from application is I am not in UK 5 years back on the same date.

Please suggest me whether I need to proceed with Lawyer or just sign the doc send to them.

Thanks in advance

By the looks of the letter. It seems that the only criteria you didnt meet was being in the uk physical on the same day five years back as the applucation date. According to my understanding if you sign the declaration which they sent you then your case is automatically approved as you were present in the uk in october five years back and also 3 years back which is a pre-requisite of naturalisation application. Taking professional advice could also help but not mandatory in ur case. Wait for some more experience responses

I think this is really very simple. Just re-sign the form and return it to them. It was your omission that you sent the application form to them on the wrong day, so just be grateful they did not refuse it automatically. I see absolutely no need for you to involve the lawyer.

Hello everyone.

I have a quick question for those who didn't use NCS and posted their application via Special Delivery.

Did you received your approval and documents all together? and did you receive them via your pre-paid Special Delivery envelop?

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Hi ukmk

I applied via post (special delivery) and received my documents and approval letter together in the same envelope. It came via 2nd Class post. No special delivery for our precious documents!! The Home Office doesn't splash our for us!

Hi Olinka0306,
No word from my end either. Although I did email the NCS in Wandsworth to see what the hell was going on and he in turn contacted the home office who told him that although they couldnt give him the specific details of my case, they could only tell him that my application was waiting to be assigned to a case worker... Whatever the hell that means! He told me to sit tight until 6 months has passed, which is only 4 weeks away now... Truly is BS btw.

Good luck to you, please do let me know if you hear anything from your end.

What are you basing that on? I thought the pattern looked more like they're basing it on date on submission of biometrics?

Looks like some applications are taking longer then others. these are applicants from March/April/May still waiting while June/July applicants have started to get their approvals. looks like Some nationalities (current status) are going through further checks.

This is only my opinion and observation :) - most of the people don't mention their nationalities here.

It's not the day of biometric submission. I submitted biometrics on 6th of June and I am still waiting.

It is hard to make any assumptions how the HO work. We can only just wait.

I agree its hard to assume,

From my observation , First Spouse Approvals , then 5 years finally 10 years..

It's impossible to say how they are actually working through approvals. My husband and I phoned HO in vein today, thought we may get lucky with a nice HO representative. However, we were told that it depends on the speed of the case worker and their work load. So now, we wait. Quite frankly, I would have been happy with a simple - we haven't looked at your case yet or we have... I don't need details, I just want to know something is being done.
