Finally after two months of chasing received a call for interview and on line status is showing printing now. These two months were a nightmare since l was desperate to travel and passport office was ready to give no information and was not even ready to return my pakistani passports. I don't know what went wrong with my application which caused this much of delay where rest of every body was getting it in one to two weeks. Hope to get it in couple of days now. I used check & send n had my interview on 02/10/2015.

Could you please tell me how did you check your online status?

I tried but the online status can be checked only for the people who applied online?

You can check it online and it will tell you the date it was received by home office. Then you will get an email from passport office about the status of your passport, like I got telling me that it's gone for printing and should get it in three to four days. Best of luck

Had letter and new form from HMPO today to fill out as had not filled out the parent's section as did not think it was required as not claiming citizenship through them (as form mentions), but through naturaliastion instead.
Called to clarify, and was told that parents and grandparents info (as parent were born outside of UK) was required regardless of claiming citizenship through them or not.

should be on the tracking slip (the one post office gave you when you submitted), also the office you send it to should be on the envelope you got the passport application in (if you remember it) if you really want to know go to the post office and ask them for another one the check.

I have seen people getting sms about passport being printed. Not sure my passport is already printed or it is already on the way. Im planning to call Passport helpline tomorrow.

Since your interview on 2nd October, it has been 1 working day. Take it easy fella you will get it soon. SMS isnt a must AFAIK.

Did you got your courier tracking number or passport tracking number from passport office. I am waiting for my passport today as well. Best of luck

I was not at home at time of passport delivery so basically the postman dropped it in letter box.

Call the Passport Helpline and get ur DX tracking number.

My passport will be delivered tomorrow as per DX tracking status.

The delivery was supposed to be 02/10 but the delivery people messed up and had to redeliver.

Hello Everyone,

I'm about to submit a first time adult passport application via check and send.

I notice by looking at this passport processing forum that many people seem to get their documents (including current passports I assume?) returned within 10 days or so of making a check and send application.

Is this common? I was expecting a wait of 6 weeks and had prepared myself for that but I'd be very, very happy if I could have my other passport back (not the British one that I'm applying for) and be able to travel in that time period.

A letter came through the post on 25/09/15 (dated 23/09/15, one day after the interview) asking me
to resend my naturalisation certificate which had been sent back to me on 21/09/15 to the IPS office above. I called the Adviceline and they followed it up with the IPS office who called back and asked me to resend the document. I sent it on 03/10/15 and it was received yesterday 05/10/15.

It has been a very long journey but I can only wait and see if anything comes through by Friday. I have not received any SMS messages throughout the process so far.
