are you supposed to get a stamp in the passport, or is it only the BRP that is your evidence?

Yes, i did apply early September. The funny part is that I didnt get my biometric letter early enough. I had to call them on the 6th of Oct to request for one and was told it would take 15 working days. I got my letter on the 22nd, dated 21st. I submitted the biometric details on the 24th. So I have no idea how long I have to wait any longer as this is the 8th week since applying. I am guessing it would be early next month or so, not sure.

I also noticed you received your biometric letter on 18th Sept. I was told i was sent one on the 18th as well but i never received it. Was your letter from Sheffield as well?

Here is my time line:

7th September - FLR M received by Home office
8th September - Payment taken
15th September- Acknowledgment letter + Biometric Letter received dated 14th Sep
20th September - Biometric done
Waiting for Documents and BRP..

Its exactly 8 weeks today but no response yet. has anyone else applied around same time? Does home office use Royal mail or other couriers to deliver your documents?

Thanks

Guys, I believe the 8 weeks timeline is from the date of acknowledgement not from the date of application.
In the acknowledgement letter it clearly says may take up to 8 weeks to process. I would say its better to wait for 8 weeks from the date of acknowledgement .

You should have received the acknowledgement and Biometric letter in next 2 days or max by the end of this week. Don't worry.
