i think you may get a response in following scenario
1. A letter has never been sent to you then they may reply
2. your application has been approved then they may reply

so i assume if any of the above criteria is correct then expect a response otherwise .....

This is my assumption

Long story kamran - I originally applied in Feb but had to send re-consideration in July. All because they said I made no effort to contact them when infact I did back in June.

I believe ilr2014test is right, it makes a lot of sense.

Not loosing hope and waiting :)

It is really really annoying!

Basically, at this point I just know that I've paid someone/somewhere £1005 and haven't got any acknowledgment at all. How do I know that I haven't been cheated? It's outrageous!

One think really disturbs me: Why was the £1005 withdrawn from my account soon after my application was received, if no case worker was actually allocated? I would've found it normal to be charged only when someone would've actually started working on my application. I could've found a better use for my £1005 during the past 6 months.

Where on Earth do you pay in advance for a service which you'll get after 6 months of waiting?!

Oh and let's not forget the fact that they treat us totally unequal. Why they do not process the applications in order (i.e. first-come, first-served)??
It's crazy to see that people who have applied few months after you, have got their response back.

It's really outrageous that people with criminal record and who applied after me have got their approval! Everyone is equal but some are more equal than others.

Hi Ziuta,

I would advise not to discriminate - not that I have a criminal record or I am representing them. We are all in the same boat and if anything the last few years of dealing with Home Office has taught me: that is patience.

Peace!

I'm not discriminating anyone, I'm just airing my opinion. The whole application is discrimatory, that's the whole point of the application is to choose who case worker believe is worthy to become BC.
How come September applicants getting their approval and applicants with criminal record (ie more difficult cases) are being dealt with quicker? Patience? I was patient for last 6 months, I didn't have any discount in fees for extra stress and extra length application.

I've also sent them another e-mail and still haven't got back any official reply, apart from their automatic one saying that they "aim" to respond in less than 20 working days (if this is the same as with the application "up to 6 months", I would expect their reply in 1 month from now)

Send email the one I sent yesterday check in last page, you don't need to wait 20 days. Usually they reply in 24 hours

Totally share Ziuta's frustration. Going through exactly same excruciating wait. How hard can an application be? Give me a phone and a computer with an internet connection I will verify everything within 1 week, and not for £1005 but for less than £100.
Be good.

I've sent them using that address + to another one. Still waiting.

Obviously they are over bombarded with e-mails from everyone and because it's a governmental institution, deeply hidden under a blanket of secrecy, they have no obligation to reply to simple mortals.
It's not a private company and they do not have to have a certain level of efficiency. We pay for their salaries, yet we are not allowed to get any feedback regarding what's actually going on over there.

Therefore, what else can we do? Wait and see..

Don't worry, they know everything about a person already. They only need to justify the spending of £1005 by making us wait so long ;)

Hi All,

Application history, 2 applicants (me and wife):

Date of application: 23rd June 2015 via NCS
Payment method: Credit card
Date of debit or clearance of fees: 27th June 2015
Date of acknowledgement: 27th June 2015
Date of receipt of Biometric enrolment letter : 1st July 2015
Date of Submission of Biometrics: 7th July 2015

Quite frustrating as Its been around 23 weeks (over 5 months) since I made the application and I can confirm during the time since application date I did not receive any letter requesting for more information.
Quite straight forward case, 5 years Tier 1 Gen + 1 year ILR.

Have sent an email to NationalitySupportTeamFMT@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk yesterday, no response yet.
Any more June updates please ??

Problem is that we are actually travelling in Jan for 4 weeks and if I receive the letter during that time I will miss the 21 days deadline to contact the council for ceremony.....any advice would be much appreciated ?

Regards.

Hi all,

Does anyone know if the fact that HO has requested more documents means that they could take more than 6 months to make a decision? Or should I treat it as good news and hope that it means I will receive the letter soon? :?

Timeline below. Many thanks.

Hi psnlb, you were requested documents which means the case worker is working on your file and you should expect a reply soon. It seems that they just need to confirm your language requirements. So yes, I do believe its time for good news. Good luck until then.

Also I see that my user (lolopic) now contains invalid data in the spreadsheet:

Someone moved it (it's not my dates, not my method, etc.).

Absolutely right, Tomsawyer. We get receipts for the simplest little thing we pay for and when we pay this £1000 huge amount, no receipt nor acknowledgement whatsoever!!!!

@aimarinescu: Nope, I haven't got any acknowledgement from them.

Soon after I made the application through NCS, the fee was withdrawn from my account (a matter of few working days).

Then, during the following week I've got the letter informing me about the biometrics. I went to the Post Office and submitted the biometrics as soon as I could.

After that, I haven't heard anything from them.

I wrote them an e-mail to ask about the "Acknowledgement", because I've seen that many people around here kept saying they've got it...still, no reply from them.

In conclusion...
