ILR for parents not for kids; can we claim child benefit

Post by sobhahareesh » Mon Dec 07, 2015 1:53 pm

Hello there,
We (husband and myself)got ILR in October 2015, but we are applying for children's ILR in a few months time (both of them born in India). My questions is can we apply for child benefit and tax credits even if children do not have ILR. My husband is not working at present.
Thanks in advance

Yes. It is parents that claim not the children.

Through what route did you obtain ILR and why were children not included?
