I submitted my biometrics 2 weeks ago. I hope my COA doesn't take too much longer... I am itching to go back to work!

I still haven't receive the letter for the biometrics. They received my application 3 weeks ago. I called them and they said it can take up to 6 weeks to receive the letter. It's really frustrating when I see that for most of you it took like 10/15 days maximum.

Hopefully we are all gonna receive good news soon !

Ive got question though. Is it not soppoused to be valid for
10 years as it is my second rc as a family member of eea
Its valid till 2020.
Thank you all

Any reason why you applied for residence card (RC) again instead of permanent residence (PR)?

Guys.. Id actually like to know what nationalities are all of us who are waiting for a longer period than the ones who have got their RCs in due time.. At least this way we can pin point if their are certain nationalities to whom the HO is delaying on purpose.. Alex, Perdiyan, 10z, and other June applicants.. Plz enlighten us all. :|

If it was a mistake then they gave you what you applied for, if you believe you qualify for PR and have all the evidence then you can reapply using the correct form and the required evidence.

Yes I'm not complaining. I didn't realise till I got the card that I made mistake. So I'll reaply with correct form.

Thx for updating us nightwolf,
It seems like the 6 months period they are considering starts from the COA not from the date the application is sent... since they have called you for an interview on the 13 of Jan!
Anyway is there anyway you can share the email content here with us ?

it basically says what time my interview is scheduled. and the duration will be around 4 hours.. and that to bring all the documents.. and if an interpreter is required it should be notified and if there is a legal representative accompanying us his id should be provided and should be present with us before the interviel and following things to be provided:
two years utlility bills,
council tax,
6 months bank statements,
pictures of our wedding,
all other pictures frm the time we have been together
spouse's employment letter from the head etc. and where the wages go etc. ..

Nightwolf, but this is so weird. Can you think of something in your application that would encourage them to ask for extra? Can I ask which papers did you send?

People from 18th of July received papers last week, I cant believe that a week later we have no updates! Whats happened?Did they decide to leave for Christmas early?

Hey al.91 same for me. Applied end of November and no acknowledgement email or biometrics letter as yet, but the payment was deducted. Perhaps with the holiday season there are a lot of people ahead of us to be cleared up, so we may just have to be patient for a little bit.

Hi ana... basically i applied twice as unmarried partner and both times i got refused first time for no reason second time they said that my wife's payslip adress was different to our adress and that her pay was not going to the joint account which didnt make sense.. since we decided to get married i applied again on june as a married person.. so probably they want to see the whole history thas why but i have provided them with every thing..
bank statements, marrriage certificate, pictures, they alrrady had my passport.. our gp letters, our bills etc... i guess ill take whatever i have available the rest is with them any way... second time when they refused we appealed cuz the refusal was unfair but then we withdrew the appeal cuz i wsnt working u knw.. and re applied to get right to work..
the funniest thing the first time they refused my appication just two weeks before that they raided my work place llooking for illegal immigrants where they interviewed me and even checked my mobile our pictures and our measages etc all of em .. and yet they refused.. so i dont know. My case has been dragging for 1 and a half year :/

Well I received mine yesterday ! The letter was dated 10 of December so hopefully you'll get yours soon !
I sent my biometrics today, now waiting for COA.

Apparently they don't send acknowledgment letter anymore.
