Re: EEA2 Application Timelines - ONLY 1 TOPIC - UpToDate

Post by paperhell » Sun Dec 20, 2015 11:30 pm

hi all,

I applied for EEA2 as a family member of an EEA citizen (my wife). We are married. We applied through a solicitor. He sent us the list of the required papers. We provided all. I have recently seen something about health insurance issue. Am I supposed to provide that I have a health insurance in the UK as a civil(married) partner of an EEA citizen? It was not on the list. Now I am worried. Solicitor is very busy. It takes time to get an answer back, so I believe you can tell me the most accurate and fastest answer.

by the way my timeline is:
04.09.2015 sent the application.
24.09.2015 biometrics required
28.09.2015 biometrics enrolled
13.10.2015 CoA received
RC pending.
I have never gone through such wearing situation. I feel like I am waiting for an execution EVERY DAY.

Hi
As a married direct family member you are not required to provide CSI. Keep calm and carry on, easier said than done I know.
Best wishes

Great. Thank you. Yes, also I have just seen what CSI is on the forum in different topic. :D

Well, I want to ask a few more things. My name is not included on the tenancy contract. We have provided proof that we live together (photos etc.) but, I think it might cause a problem or already does. Do you know how to fix this situation? Or do we need to? what do you suggest me to do in order to fix it?(contract will be renewed in June)

- Our marriage was registered in an EU member state. Do we need to do it in the UK again?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi all, I'm new to the board so here's my timeline

15 Jul: application made
21 Jul: Biometric data letter dated
27 Jul: Biometric data submitted
13/15 Aug: CoA with right to work dated/received
4 Dec: requested passport
18 Dec: submitted "passport not received form" as passport still haven't arrived (!)

I am starting to be worried as I haven't received my passport within 10 working days and I haven't heard anything from HO but I need the passport to go home for Christmas. I am planning to call HO tomorrow, any advice on this?

Thanks a lot guys, good luck and Merry Christmas!

@paperhell
i wouldn't worry too much about the fact your name isn't on the tenancy agreement, moreover things are pretty much out of your control now. its key that you have different document sources that proves ties with your EEA national, things like utility bills etc. that said i know people who didn't provide any bills or tenancy agreements and got their RC. So it comes down to the caseworker and their discretion.
as long as the UK recognises your marriage in the country it was solemnised or registered its fine and you need do anything else other have it officially translated if its not in english.

Hi all,

Just to follow up my case, I got my RC today (dated 9.12.2015).

What happened was that DX was being a terrible courier and didn't even attempt to deliver my RC but constantly said that they failed to deliver. It doesn't make sense because I was at home all day waiting for it. I rearranged my delivery twice and sent an angry complaining email to DDX. And I finally got it today.

My suggestion for future applicants is to include all required documents and more is better. I even sent birthday cards that me and my husband wrote to each other. Also make sure all the info is correct on the form.
Most importantly when your biometric letter or coa is too late, chase up home office. Call all numbers you know, send emails to public enquiries and make complains. If your relationship is truthful, you have the right to live and work in UK by EU law. Don't waste time and money on solicitors.

Good luck everyone!

we just had an immigration visit around 7 am, in less than 5 mins they left. They asked us how we met, for how long we have been living together, and they had a look in the Lounge, they didn't even go in our room. Probably because in the lounge we have many pictures framed of us, as well recent Valentine s cards were still there ... Everything went ok and they were very nice :-)
Hello Hannah, this is a bit late but I'm new to this. Did they notify about when they were visiting or did they just turn up?

Hi all, sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place, I couldn't find an active thread on the issue but would really appreciate your help.

I'm applying for an EEA (FM) residence card.
I need to travel out of the country on 26 Dec, so I requested the return of my passport on 4 Dec. Nothing came after 10 working days so I made an inquiry on 18 Dec, still nothing. I called the UKVI office who simply asked me to submit another request, but the passport won't arrive on time for my travels.

Since I have a second passport (different nationality, non-EEA but with it I can enter the country for 6 months as visitor) now I'll be travelling to Europe with it. But I'm very worried about returning to the country...I'm travelling with my husband and will bring all the documents I have to prove our relationship (marriage certificate, CoA, proof of his student status etc.), but I'm not sure if they will make a fuss about the fact that I'm not travelling with the passport specified on my CoA.

I know this is a unique situation but I'd REALLY appreciate your advice! Fingers crossed everything will be just fine.

Thanks, HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Hi Candy,

Sorry, I don't have any advice for you but I'm surprised about the return of your passport since we requested for my husband's (EEA national) national ID on December 16th and actually received it today & we didn't require it too urgently at all but were really hoping to receive my brp today to travel & didn't.

Wish something similar happened with you but perhaps they held on for processing. ..

Happy Christmas to all who partake & happy holidays to all!

Hi
I dont know about the fuss, sorry. But with returning passport i had kind of the same problem. It took them more than a month to return passport and it appeared they were sending it to my old address which I didnt even give them in first place. After enormous amount of phonecalls at last case worker called back and made note in my file about right address and in few days we got passport back.
Call them and make sure they are sending it to correct address.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone
