10 yr long residency question

Post by bhaku » Sat Dec 26, 2015 6:28 pm

Dear Gurus,

I need help on my 10 year long residency ILR counting period.

I came in the UK first time on visitor visa on 15th Dec 2005 and visa was valid till 7th june 2006. I left UK on 4th June 2006.

Then I applied for Student visa and was granted on 20th September 2006 and came to UK on 30th September 2006.

From that day I continued with all legal student visa, Post study work visa and now Tier 1 Entrepreneur visa till 19th Dec 2015. I made my ext application on 15th Dec 2015 for Tier 1 Ent ext.

Now my question is can I apply for ILR long residency as I am legally in the UK from 15th Dec 2005 and never broke the rule of 180 day continues or 540 days rule also.

Please guide me in this situation.

Thanking you in the advance for your very important help.

Thanking you,

Kind regards,

Bhaku

The visitors visa seems a bit problematic , but if one follows the letter of the rules, this does not seem to be precluded, although according to the spirit of the rules in 276, it may well be.

One has to go by the wording, and on the basis of that, I fully agree with the precious contributor, that you may well qualify.

Thanks Sushdmehta , I am most grateful for your assistance.

I knew the language of the rules clearly does not preclude visitors visa, bit I could not pin point a particular policy.
