Hi,

I'm pretty new here and my wife recently received her EEA Family Permiy. She will be joining me shortly and we want to get the RC asap however the job I am in and the job she wants to get in would require her to travel to Asia every week. My questions are (after reading a bunch of pages), can I enclose a letter with a request to get my passport back asap? Also, the application has to be done by me (EEA national) or my wife?

Regards and thanks,
D

I think you have to request your passports back through the online service after they've received your application.
& the EEA2 form has sections for both you and your wife to fill

Good morning to you all. I'm going to send mi application as spouse of a EU citizens. We are married since more than a year. We have been living together more than 4 years. I came to the UK with a Family Permit (it's already expired). I got message from home office saying "Message from the Home Office. Our records show that you may not have leave to remain in the UK. Please contact us on 0844 3754636 to discuss your case."

I had sent and applications last year but we were thinking about to leave the UK, so we withdraw the first application. We are going to send a new one EEA (FM) and (QP).

Do we need to include same documents double? Or just a set of documents in the same envelope with the two filled forms?

I understand that the residence card is not mandatory for spouses, my husband is working since June, it's a full time permanent job. So, he's a qualified person. I called that number they just say if I'll send the application again call them back to give the tracking number.

HELP GUYS!

I applied 23rd June, 2015 and have been wondering why I haven't got a reply till date. Well, the Home Office confirmed that a recorded package was sent via royal mail on 17th November, 2015 to our old address. We moved home and updated our address with the Home Office, but i guess they missed that.
The HO also confirmed to me today that i have no outstanding application with them, in other words, a decision has already been made on my application. I had earlier called DX to find out if they had anything for me, and they did not.
The HO gave me a tracking number for the item sent in november, and royal mail confirmed that since the HO did not put a return address on the back of the envelop, the item has been sent to their head office in belfast to check if there is any address inside, which they can return the parcel to. My documents might be missing :(
At this point, since DX has nothing for me in over 6 weeks i'm guessing that my application has been refused, and the parcel is my documents. Has anyone received RC through any other means except DX?
But is there any hope? The problem is that i haven't even received any letter so i don't know what the reason for refusal could be... My current leave expires in less than a month, and it is sad that i have waited over 6 months without work. Can anyone advise please?

I guess you should call the HO and ask for an update. They'd promise to call back within 3-5 working days. I did so, and they took my details and called me back same day.

Hello everyone,

My wife posted the form on Dec 14th and we were charged on our debit card on Dec 15th. Haven't heard anything else from them until now. Is it normal?

I believe that it might take a little longer since we had the holidays and everything, just want to be sure. This process is really stressful, isn't it?

Thanks!

Well, We applied for the second time on the 1st of August 2015. Our first application was rejected. I have a bit of experience in the process and I can tell you straight away to take it easy and to be very patient. The process is very long. The first time we applied we were hoping to get the Residence card but we failed because I changed my work place. My recommendation to you is to be very patient.

The second time we applied it took very long time to receive the COA, might be worth calling HO and asking. We were given an email for inquiries regarding the COA. Hopefully you will have better luck.

:D

I think information related to someone having an interview due to his EEA2 application is completely right to be displayed here since this confirms the date and condition of the interview and when the RC is devlivered after the interview ...
It just doesnt makes sense to have a seperate threads for biometrics or questionnaires or interviews since they are all part of the EEA2 Process which is directly related to the timelines.
