Getting Tier 2 renewed + raise question

Hi,

I'm applying to have my Tier 2 visa renewed (in country). My employer will also be giving me a salary raise. What comes first - do I apply for the new visa (the form asks me what my current salary is) and do I wait to get the visa to get the raise, or can I also get a raise while the visa application is being processed?

Both are independent of each other. In the form, you need to mention your "current" salary at the time of the application. If you've already got the raise, the new salary would have been mentioned in the COS.
