BRP name change

Hello,

I've just changed my surname on my passport ( because of marriage ) and would like to change it on my BRP as well ? I assume I'll have to apply for a new BRP. I'm currently in the UK and so could anyone let me know the procedure & the approximate duration for the BRP name change please ? If anyone could share their experiences, that would be much helpful.

Thanks for the link. Did you apply for a postal application or a one day service ? How long did it take to get a new VISA ? Also could you let me know the supporting documents submitted as well ? It's a bit urgent so I'd appreciate your reply.

link in my earlier post clearly indicates what documents to provide, as far as I could recollect this is what I submitted,
1. passport issued after the change of surname
2. passport with the previous surname
3. address proof (tenancy agreement with both mine and wifes name) to prove the subsistence
4. address proof (bank statement)
4. marriage certificate
5. current BRP (with previous surname)

I posted the documents and had the replaced brp in hand within 5 weeks.
