What to put in CoS

Post by PPS832 » Fri Mar 18, 2016 6:58 pm

Hello members,

A brief explanation of the situation :

Applied for a job. The company agreed to offer me the job. The complany applied for Sponsorship lincense based on the advertisement from which I applied and got selected. Successfully granted license with 1 CoS allocation (Unrestricted). I am eligible for RLMT exemption as I will be switching from T4 to T2.

My query is:

When filling up CoS, should the company mention of the RLMT done or not? Or since I am exempted from RLMT, whether it should state that or not? The job offered is not a shortage occupation but minimum NVQ level job.

I will be the first and only person to use the allocated CoS.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

This is ur company HR responsibility.
Tick the RLMT box and write 'exemption as switching from tier 4'

Thanks for reply. The company is very small. There's no separate HR department. The principal is the key person and does all the work related to HO and SMS system.

I was given a draft CoS for confirmation before it's submitted.

I thought the same that there should be mention of RLMT exemption in CoS in the detail box but the company has entered information regarding the advertisements.

So now we are a bit confused as what exactly should be entered.

CoS is it not assigned yet. So that's what we are trying to determine what to include in the box where it says enter the detail of labour market test. 'Exempt from RLMT' or 'Detais of advertisements (ie links to the advertisements, how long it ran for etc)' or both ??

I personally prefer to just put ' Exemption as switching from tier 4'
Don give change to case worker to go deep ... If u put the advertisement detail they will try to find out whether the advertise is specially created for you or not?
They r very strick now a days and just trying to find the point for rejection.
By putting exemption u will be 100 % safe on that point.

Hi,

In the past I have switched from PSW to Tier-2 which was also exempt from RLMT.

At that time my employer called HO who advised to do the following.

Tick RLMT done. In the RLMT details mention that the employee is exempt from RLMT as switching from Tier-4 to Tier-2.
