Tier 2 General - Salary Increment

Post by crish83 » Wed Apr 13, 2016 8:58 pm

Hi,
I am in Tier 2 General visa. I did not receive any increment in past 2 years but My employer is paying me right salary as per SOC code. In this year my employer announced about my salary increment. Hopefully they are going to pay 2 years appraisal. If I get salary increment:
1. Is my employer required to update UKVI or SMS.
2.My Tier 2 visa is going to expire next year May. usually my company used to provide yearly (April) appraisal.so i will get next year April As well. In My next year visa extension which salary is required to mention in COS. Ex: My First COS (RLMT) salary or Increased salary to be Mention in COS.

Please help me out...! I would appreciate if you reply back.

Thanks,
Crish

1. not required to update
2. at the time of extension next year May. You need to show experienced rate as per your SOC (this can be demonstrated on Cos which will be issued to you by your employer for extension)

I want to ask something which I am not clear. My employer got the COS allocation and they are going to issue COS to me next week.

My salary got increased in January to meet extension requirements and they have informed home office yesterday only through SMS .

Now before issuing a COS do they need to do any other formality also if yes please guide me

Please reply

Thanks

Thanks for reply.

just wanted to know is there can be a problem that my employer informed home office bit late as they were not aware of that

For salary increase they informed them after 4 months , that pay rise was not part of aanunal salary review but for me to meet extension requirements and that was nearly 8k. For tittle change which was slight change from graduate software tester to software tester almost after 11 months

Thanks for your reply. Please see the below link point 15.7 Page 66
https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... 6_v1.2.pdf

if there are any significant changes in the sponsored migrant’s circumstances, for
example:
o a promotion or change in job title, or core duties, other than those which
need a change of employment application – the ‘Change of employment’
section has more information on this
o a change of salary from the level stated on the CoS, other than changes
due to annual increments or bonuses
o a change of salary from that stated on the CoS due to maternity, paternity
shared parental or adoption leave, or a period of long term sick leave lasting
one month or longer
o the location they are employed at changes - this includes where a sports player
moves on loan

I have the confusion due to above clause in the Guidance, but most of the people said no need to inform regarding salary increment. Please advise whether we want to inform or not.
