Switzerland may be going the way of the UK

Switzerland considering a 'swexit'.

A somewhat odd comparison, considering they're not in the EU to begin with.

So if they were to go the way of the UK, they'd have to join first, right?

They have several bilateral agreements with the EU, are a member of the EFTA and are a Schengen country. What is meant is that these bilateral agreements would end and they would leave the EFTA and Schengen treaties. Calling it a 'swexit' is obviously a media-driven play on the UK's 'brexit' equivalent.

Title should be "UK may be going way of Switzerland" as Swiss folks started with this referendum 2 years or so ago:
