Hi guys, I've been very busy lately but just want to do a quick update and to thank you all for the help and posts here.

That's our timeline. Jointly application with my EEA national as main applicant.

-Application sent (special delivery): 30/09/2015
-Received by HO: 01/10/2015
-Application fee (credit card): 02/10/2015
-Confirmation email: 08/10/2015
-Biometric Letter: 10/10/2015 (dated 07/10/2015)
-Biometric Done: 12/10/2015
-Change address: 02/11/2015 (online form)
-COA: 14/01/2016 (dated 08/01/2016, after e-mail request sent on 05/01/2016)
-Docs: 28/01/2016 (passports requested back) - 01/02/2016 (cancelled passports back)
-PR: 23/03/2016 (dated 18/03/2016)
-Docs: 01/04/2016

Yeah, I received my PR card one week before our documents. And together with our docs came my EEA's DCPR that was dated same day as my PR card 18/03/2016.

Once again, thank you very much each of you that shared your experience and somehow helped a lot.

Good luck to all of you still waiting. No matter the time believe it will come, after all it's your right! ;)

Hi All,

I am glad to inform that I just received all my docs back (in my next day delivery envelop) with a letter which says that I'll receive my PR Card within 10 days!!! I am v. happy and relieved and best of luck to all you guys who,v been patient enough.

So, my assumption of 5 months and 10 days for non-EEA was exactly correct, as I applied on 05 Nov.

I applied for PR Card as 'retained right of residence after divorce'. If anyone has any qs or queries on docs or how to arrange them, I will be glad to help and thanks so much for the people behind this forum and those helping others to get through this stressful period :)

Cheers!

Hi mbist,

Please can you give me a list of the documents you sent as I also applied for retained rights following divorce.
I just want to be sure that I submitted the right documents. Thanks

Hi Ade/lubmob,
Below is my list of docs I sent, I think my case was straightforward and that’s why I received PR in good time. My EEA Ex-wife had received PR few years ago, so that makes things much simpler for the Case officer. Also, she co-operated and provided me with certified copies of her docs.
Those who’s sponsor haven’t got PR will have to prove that sponsor was exercising treaty rights (job details, study, details, looking for work) and also provide all their travels in the last 5 years.

EEA PR Application : Retained Right of Residence after Divorce
(All originals- no photocopy set required)

Applicant’s Main Docs:
• Cover Letter
• Self addressed Next day delivery envelop (not compulsory, but my documents were returned in this)
• Passport + previous passport
• 2 Photographs
• 65 GBP Postal Order (not compulsory)
• Marriage Certificate
• Decree Absolute
• Letter from solicitor that Divorce in court was filed on the particular date (this is important as this shows that we were married for at least 3 years)

Applicant’s Docs since Decree Absolute until Application date:
• Employer Letter stating employment details + list of holidays taken in last 5 years
• Bank statements showing salary deposited (last 3 months)
• Pay slips (since Decree Absolute till application date)
• P 60’s (last 3 years)
• Property Land registry papers (showing property on my name)
• Annual Mortgage statements (on my name since Decree Absolute till application date)
• Council Tax (on my name since Decree Absolute till application date)
• Water Bills (on my name since Decree Absolute till application date)
• Electricity Bills (on my name since Decree Absolute till application date)

Sponsor’s Docs:
• Passport copy of only Main Page (certified by solicitor – this is acceptable)
• Permanent Residence Copy (certified by solicitor)
• 1 Photograph
• Her Employers Letter stating her details (after Decree Absolute date)
• Her 3 pay slips certified copy (until Decree Absolute proving that she was working until then)
• Her new Tenancy Agreement showing her new address after she moved out
• Her 3 months banks statements (can be utility bills also) showing her new address after she moved out

Combined Utility Bills (since Marriage until she moved out : 2 residences- at least 2 sources per year):
• Joint Mortgage statements
• Joint Land Registry papers
• Joint Council tax bills
• Joint Electricity bills
• Joint Water bills
• Joint Tenancy bills

Hi All,
I got my PR card today :) just 1 working day after receiving my docs, not bad!

1.In the letter it says that I need to have comprehensive sickness insurance? what does that mean? I have a private medical insurance from my work, so that should be fine right?

2.Also, the PR Card says that 'family member of EU member' although I got PR after retaining right of residence after divorce. Hope that is not an issue w.r.t. sponsoring my Non EEA spouse to come and settle with me in UK, which I am planning v.soon.

Cheers!

Even tough we all know this procces can take up to 6 month, deeply inside we always hope that we can received PR withing a short period of time. When I was applying for RC in 2010 my grandad pass away and I never got to see him because I couldn't travel and this year my grandma who is 86 years old fell from the bed and doctor can't do any operation because she is very old and fragile... So it looks like I also won't be able to said goodbye to her. This is a killing procces, really takes all your energy. Thanks God my husband is a very calm person and is helping me go trough this without giving up. Hopefully good news come to all of us

If your wife has been working since 2008 until 2015 , there should not be any problems for you getting PR. Are there any gaps between the qualified period? or you might submit the wrong application form. As I remember HO will only refuse you application if they are not satisfy and you have to re apply for RC while you wait for the appeal decision. I don't think they can give you RC because they not satisfy with your application. If you sure you submit the correct form then I suggest you should contact HO.There should be a decision letter which in my case I received it before the arrival of PR card. Have a look at it there might be contact number that you can call and find out what went wrong with your PR application.

looking at the statistics of previous years, it seems like HO receives 30% less applications during the months of December and January.
Hopefully it means there will be 30% faster processing time.
