Third time lucky inshallah, I've booked my ticket to Pakistan for 12th may, hopefully we should have passport returned by then so we can travel back together, my MP called them yesterday, was told that passport will be chased up and returned in next week, it's been a long journey, I've been lucky in the sense that I've visited my wife 3 times a year since marriage, otherwise it would have been a very very difficult journey.

Thankyou for your duas sister, inshallah we will be traveling back together next month, just goes to show that early intervention by the MP has saved us a lot of waiting time, why they can't just process and return documents quickly without a kick up the backside from the MP is baffling.

My MP's office, rather one caseworker in the office has been very active helpful in requesting call letter and also chasing up the passport, I have in the past had no help from the office.I guess it just depends on the caseworker if they actually want to make the effort. Julie the caseworker is definitely getting a bunch of flowers and a thankyou card. :)

Salam brother,
I also applied in July , refused in sept and appealed in Oct with 15 March deadline. With a similar refusal sections E-CP 1.1(c) and (d).
Review got unsuccessful. And listed for court in mid of March and now waiting ..Could you please share your friend's refusal points.
My solicitor told me that E-CP 1.1(c) refusal section wont overturn at review stage , we have to go for court.
Strange enough why HO used this section when everything is pretty straight forward and 110% genuine. What a hilarious joke to our family life.

ECO: Reason of Refusal

You have submitted a Nikkah Nama Dated 07/04/2015 with your application. There are also 11 photos from your wedding day on file. Otherwise their is no evidence presented to show how you met your sponsor. when and where you first met and what sort of contact you have enjoyed both prior to and since marriage. I note that you have visited UK for 5 months in 2014 , however there is no indication given that you met your sponsor on this occassion and how the wedding came to be arranged.

from the scant information submitted to demonstrate an ongoing and subsisting relationship. I therefore am not satisfied your relationship with your sponsor is genuine and subsisting or that you intend to live together permanently in the UK. I there refuse your application under Paragraph ECC-P.1.1(d) of Appendix FM of the immigration rules (E-ECP. 2.6 & 2.10)

I have considered the provision of evidential flexibility as set out in paragraph D of Appendix FM. I have not deemed it appropriate to exercise evidential flexibility in this case as your application fails to provide any supporting information on which a reasoned assessment can be made, and such evidence should forthcoming with the application.

Above is the exact wording from refusal letter and that the only refusal point.

regards

what was your refusal reason.
