Visitor visa documents

Post by RScorpio » Fri Apr 29, 2016 8:56 pm

Hi, My wife would like to invite her parents to the UK for about 2-3 weeks and I am ready to sponsor their trip. Both of us have ILRs. They are residing in India and will be applying for a visit visa from New Delhi on the 11th of May. However, I am not sure whether I need to send original supporting documents or whether scans which they will print will be fine. Could someone please advise? Thanks.

In terms of supporting documents, is scans of my bank statement, salary slips for last 3 month plus cover letter confirming invitation going to be fine? I will also be sending scanned copies of ilr and passports of my wife and me. Plus my father in law who is employed will get his tax return and letter from employer confirming his employment details and some bank statements to show additional funds and his salary credit (although I have said in their application I am sponsoribg them). My mother in law is a housewife so she does not have any additional documents to submit except my scanned ones.

Do these seem fine? Thanks.

Hello all

i applied my family visitor visa from India and they reject my brother application.

They approved my parents application.

My brother is disable, non earning and single guy.

ECO says in letter that he is not happy with my brother situation ...three objection 1) will not return India 2) not enough fund( i show more than £10000.00 in my bank statement ) and 3) you are not look genuine visitor.

can somebody guide me should i apply again?how should i apply? after how many days after should i applied?

Thank you all

I also included a couple of utility bills and a recent mortgage statement. Not sure what role they played, but I have a ready pack of documents that I scan and email over.
Ultimately the visa is issued if the ECO is convinced that the applicant is a GENUINE visitor.

Hi wpilr_nov12,

Would it be possible you could email me the document pack you have? I will be applying for my grandfather and could do with some templates as a guidance.

Thanks.
