Initial application May 2015, reconsideration Nov 2015

Home office gave me the reason for my application refusal is that I renewed my Visa after my Visa expired. I sent my reconsideration request with the original postport, with the valid Visa for the period they mentioned, and now waiting for the reply.

I made a phone call to home office today, they said no time schedule for reconsideration, can not ask for documents return (if you aks documents return, the reconsideration request will be cancelled). Nothing they can help.

Its really bad luck in your case, but if case worker made a mistake you will get it.
yes there is no time Schedule,
but My MP get response, in 4/5 week they will start review from April. :?
But some of applicant still waiting form feb2015. :?:

Regarding your passport, better to get advise from immigration expert, I think you can ask your passport at any time while your reconsideration application. its not effect in your case.

Nothing yet Rassel - thanks for starting a thread on reconsiderations. I was told a month ago that a case worker was actively looking into my case in February.
Makes me wonder if a fresh application would have taken this long?
all is well that ends well

Now those day's Naturalisation take not more then 3/4 month if there is not complication.
But reconsideration there is no time limit. Consult with a good immigration lawyer or your local council they will help.

Hi,

Received a reply on my complaint. Complaint was made in February 2016 and reply received 26 days later. Contents of the reply are;
An apology for the amount of time is taking to consider my case.
Further enquiries is ongoing (the usual gate out of jail card)
My case is with a senior case worker and assurance that I will be notified as soon as a decision is reached.

Hope this helps.

If I don't receive any update by mid April, I will make a further complaint.

No update on my side - it seems people are getting faster response on initial applications. I see a lot of approvals from Jan 16 timeline, however no progress on reconsiderations from last year.
all is well that ends well

my case is quite simple about communication - honestly I regret applying for reconsideration. A fresh application would have returned the required outcome by now.

Patiently waiting...

Yes as in your case, its pretty simple just miss communication.
Your case will be accepted. There is no point donation 1200 extra for nothing.
