Word to the wise - be aware of Board T&Cs,

Including all the ones you read so quickly in your initial excitement to get started on the board, for example:
This discussion board must not be used for advertising, to complain, or to insult other people in any way.
All that is gold does not glitter; Not all those who wander are lost. E&OE.

EEA national. Came to UK in 2009 and I was a student for 2 years. After that I have worked as a full-time, permanent employee with a few gaps for a couple weeks between jobs.

My timeline so far...
Documents Sent 13/05/2016
Documents Received 16/05/2016
Payment Taken 17/05/2016
Email Received 15/06/2016

However, I think my application will be rejected. Even though I have never been to a hospital and never used NHS, I don't have a document that proves that. And my first 2 years I was a student.

However, in August I will have 5 working years so I will not need private insurance. I wonder if they will accept my application or not? I mean August is only 2 months away.

Has anyone here waited for more than 5 weeks for biometrics letter?

It will be 5 weeks since they took payment and no letter has arrived. Emailed them on Monday to enquire and no response to email yet. Starting to worry now

My passport finally arrived today. I had to ask for it twice using the online form, so 28 days since first request and 10 days since 2nd. Interestingly, it was sent Special Delivery although I thought they were being sent back 2nd class signed for.

Spanish citizen applying for DCPR:

Documents sent Special Delivery: 11/05/16
Documents received at Durham: 12/05/16
Payment taken: 13/05/2016
Request for passport return sent: 19/05/16 and 06/06/16
Confirmation email received: 26/05/16
Passport received: 16/06/16
Document Certifying Permanent Residence dated:
Document Certifying Permanent Residence received:
(or refusal of course!)

Seeing as applications seem to be taking 3 months now for EEA citizens I expect my DCPR to arrive by mid August.

Hi Dandodex, I'm in a similar situation so I have a quick question for you, have you filled twice the Request form?
Or once Request form and after the Non received documents form?
Many thanks.

Application sent: 19.04.2016
Application received: 20.04.2016
Payment taken: 25.04.2016
Emails received: 20.05.2016 (Received 2 separates emails with 2 number cases.)
Requested back Passports+ ID's : 22.05.2016 ( 3 weeks later No sign of Pass & Id)
Filled online form for Non receiving Documents: 11.06.2016
Called HO for update and been advised to wait an extra 10 working days after filling the 2nd form. :-((

I didn't know there was a "non-received documents form"! It was twice the normal "request documents form"

PR arrived!
My PR arrived yesterday. It was issued on 7th.
It took 5 and half months for it to get here. But...it arrived before my supporting documents package, which STILL hasn't. Is it normal for the PR to be here before my pack with the decision letter? Who should I call? Royal mail ( sent a prepaid special delivery when applying) or the HO?
Thanks in advance!!

hi there, can anyone help me?
my eea residence card expires on 28th june this year and i am applying for permanent residence on the 20th june. i am very worried about my right to work until i dont receive COA.
i have een working for the same employer for the past 4yrs. HR told me that if i dont submitt my COA by end of july(1month after my residence card expires) they will terminate my contract.

my solicitor told me that it may take more than a month to receive it, but that i am still eligible to work even without COA

is that correct?is there any legislation stating that? i presume first letter i get from them wont be with application number so they wont be able to verify with HO im eligible to work

has anyone been in similar situation? can anyone advise on what to do and if its correct that im eligible to work even if i receive COA in 2/3 months time?

very worried. any reply much appreciate.

Wait another week and I bet you will receive your documents. Load of people on the forum seem to have been waiting 1-2weeks to receive their documents.
Congratulations for your PR that must be a relieve.

Thought I'd share my timeline so far.

Romanian national applying for PR. I've been living in the UK for about 6 years, part- time student 2012-2015 and working full-time at the same time. I had a yellow registration certificate, which was sent in original. The only thing that I'm worried about, I've had a break from working for about 6 months, due to an accident, but during that time I've only used Employment and Support Allowance funds for only 2 months.

PR Application sent: 11/06/16
PR Application received: 14/06/16

Does anyone know how long does it normally take to receive the permanent residence confirmation?

Many thanks.

Can somebody help please ?
Still no answer for my previous question.
Anybody won an appeal here ?
What is the procedure if you won appeal ?
Do I have to do anything or just wait and Home Office will send me my PR ?

Please advise.

Thank you.

I am still waiting for response to my email which was sent on Monday.

I am non-EEA national family member of Czech Republic National.
I have 3 sons. They are also EEA National. So I apply for all of us for PR.
My wife and 3 kids got confirmation email last week that they receive the documents and the decision could take up to 6 months.
But nothing came for me. But I am not worried because EEA national applications are quite faster dealt rather than Non EEA National.

for up coming 5 months don't think about it. You feel better. :D :D

I called HO to find out where to i can send my additional letter. and case worker said they don't recommend to do that, if they will need any more evidence they will contact me (i don't believe they will...)

Should i take a risk and send additional letter with Case ID ?

Romanian national applying for PR. I've been living in the UK for about 8 years, student 2008-2014, working since then. I didn't have CSI or an EHIC, but I had a yellow registration certificate so I argued for it in my cover letter.

PR Application sent: 19/03/16
PR Application recd: never got a reply
Payment taken: 23/03/16

No reply whatsoever from the home office. Hope to get something in the mail any day now, I'm kind of ruffled that I never got any reply at all from HO.
Some really good news today. My application came back and I got my DCPR! I never got an e-mail or any response.

Even crazier, I didn't have CSI for all 5 years I was a student and manged to beat the requirement because of my pre 2011 RC. I outlined in my cover letter the exact set of policies and clauses and the stuff published under Freedom of Information and it seems it worked! As far as I can tell I am the only one so far that can definitely confirm this is possible and they accept it.
