Hello dear people,

my question now is, what will happen to us, after UK leaving the EU? I know it will take a couple of years, but what then? How is the country gonna treat us? And what about those who aren't here long enough to apply for PR etc? Will they be forced to leave? Apply for specific VISA? Oh dear, how ridiculous it suddenly sounds! I still cannot believe Britain has voted against EUROPE!

Thank you Tony2015. I am sure you will receive yours pretty soon because most of the posts here for eea nationality confirm the processing time around 80-90 days. Good luck

For those not yet qualified the deals made with EU when Britain applies to leave will be all important.

I was wondering whether Home Office would take knee-jerk reaction and automatically throw out all applications they are currently processing for EEA nationals. Fast way to clear the backlog of applications.

Big congrats and thank you for updating the timeline. You seem very much in line with the other June recipients, so at least the pattern holds.

Hello,

I'm applying for a pr card for myself, and on the application on section 17, there is a question that i don't know the answer to. It's section 17.9: Please state what ties you(or any family members who are applying with you) have with:
the country where you were born
any other country whose nationality you hold
any country where you have lived for more than 5 years
You should tell us about any family friends, or ohter connections with that country.
Then there's a timetable to fill in.
Myself i'm portuguese, came to this country at the age of 18, in the year 2001, and have been living here with no gaps ever since. This is a solo application for me. Always worked, have family here but just aunties and cousins. I'm not sure what they want on this section, and any help with this would be massively appreciated.

That is also my worry. I submitted my application in April, I'm reaching 80 days today. I was hoping to get my documents back before the referendum... I don't know if the vote result will affect the decision on my case. :(

I assume that leaving the EU will not happen overnight. Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty establishes a two-year timeframe for the negotiation and to exit. I am also thinking that Cameron has said today that this process will not begin until October 2016. Dont panic, your application will be processed soon , in a few days you should recieve it.

of course you can, the result was just announced today, nothing will happen overnight my friend, so not sure what are you wondering about! you may need to worry about it in two years time but not now! You better off go and get it started! good luck

Unfortunately they have set up the working group for Brexit already without him. So they are due to make a start without waiting for the new PM election.

Let's hope we all get our results long before it matters and that Home Office does not start to take the laws into their own hands...

Would be a great relief to see applications posted as approved after the referendum result... guess we have to wait a while to see those. Especially with the sometimes slow posting of the certificates.

I applied for PR under EEA rules on Friday. I believe under UK exits from EU the existing EU rules are binding on UK. What are the current timelines for processing applications ?

Also, can I apply for Citizenship immediately after receiving PR as I am living in UK for six years. Is it one year after 5 years or one year after receiving PR ?

Thanks

Hi all,
Please I need an advice consigning my RC application to the HO.. I am a non-EA national and married to an EA national that performs her treaty right here in UK. In the application form I noticed I need to submit my present Residence Card which is another EU Residence Card together with the Document required to the HO. I am skeptical if my EU Residence Card won't be retained by the HO. Please can someone that got his/her Documents returned by the HO clarify if he/she got the EA Residence card submitted returned.
Thanks all

Unfortunately I do not think there are any options other than to send it off then to request the passport return when the payment is taken. You have no option other than to send the passport off to them to apply and your family permit looks like it will expire before you return.

Hi All

Just wanted to say that this forum has been invaluable in my application. Thank you to everyone who takes the time to respond and answer questions.
I am new to the site but have read the previous posts over the last few months.

My timeline is as follows: EEA National

Documents sent: 21 April 2016
Documents received: 22 April 2016
Payment taken: 26 April 2016
Confirmation email received: 23 May 2016
Passport Return Request: 27 May 2016

Still waiting for my passport.... 31 days later.. NOT 10 days...

66 days since the application was received.

Seems like i still have a little bit longer to wait as the times have been delayed quite a bit..

I have read something really concerning that i hope someone can help with. I have read that if you take time off when pregnant / maternity leave, you lose your 'treaty rights' as the time off is not classified as worker status. Has anyone had this before?

Thanks in advance.

Very sorry to butt in, but I'm getting a bit nervous about my application. I'm an EU citizen and here is my timeline:

Application sent: 10/3/2016
Money taken: 14/3/2016
Confirmation e-mail received: 06/4/2016

And I've heard nothing since, so I am a bit worried that most people here have gotten theirs back in 3 months...
Has anyone else experienced longer wait? If I get in touch with the home office, are they allowed to give me any information on my case, or do I have to wait here in agony until the 6th month mark? Thank you for your help!
They are not obliged to give you any information until after 6 months and this they seem to stick to. At least with your email confirmation you should have a case number, which is more than seems most receive recently, so I guess you could get lucky and someone can assist you, though they do seem unwilling to do so. Always worth a go right?

Stefan7 received his DCPR after 105 days, though his document was dated 24 days earlier. It seems they have a lag for sending out the confirmations after they are approved as well as delay in processing.

I assume you have not changed address and it could have been sent to your old place?

Hey Bumble, thank you for your reply, it made me feel a little better, perhaps I'm just one of the unlucky ones, and it will come somewhere within the 6 month mark. I just called them, and you're right, they refused to give any assistance, which I guess make sense if they are snowed in, but absolutely nerve-wracking for all of us...
I haven't changed my address.

I have been living in the uk for 10 years, arrived when I was 14 years old and went to secondary school, sixth form college, then university - total in education over 8 years. I've attached all of my education certificates with my application.

I then started two part time jobs for a year or so and attached all of my payslips also, but then I had a 4 month break in employment and lived of my savings, did not claim any benefits.

After that I've started full time employment for over a year and attached all my payslips etc.

Is it possible my application will be refused, because of the 4month gap?

Hey NMH, have filled a second passport request? If your first request goes over the working days limit, you need to fill the second request when the time has passed, otherwise it's very likely your request will be ignored.
