ILR suggestion , Break in continuous stay

Hi All,

I have been granted HSMP on 3r July 2007( 2 years initial visa)
Came to UK in May 2008
Tier 1 Conversion on 5th may 2009
went to India in 13th -Feb 2010 to 28-Aug-2011
2nd extension on 9th May 2012
3rd extension on 17 may 2014
Now my visa valid till May 2017

I will be eligible for ILR in August 2016,

seniors can you suggest if I can go for ILR any tine now. as I have break for nearly 18 month :)

unless a close family member died maybe, and even still.

Applying for ILR, period out side UK

Hi All,

In my last 5 years, I am outside UK for 6 times and out of which 4 times its more than 30 days will the ILR be rejected, please need advise

I am self employed ,it contractor and was working and paid for this period

54 to US on project ( have invitation letter from company) paid in UK
47 to India in dec2014 to February 2015 ( father cancer treatment) I don't have discharge summary from hospital now , I was working and paid have evidence of my pay in UK

31 days to India in sept 2015 father expired ( have death certificate )

68 days to Indian from jan 2016 to March 2016 for person medical reasons , no letter from doctor , but have all scan and medical bills and reports, and was working and paid for this period UK


I have seen a post where it was refused for being out of country for 80 and 50 days,

Please let me know am I safe to apply, or need any thing els

Section 6 - Immigration history
You are not required to complete this section if you are applying in the bereaved partner categories.
6.1 When did you (the main applicant) first enter the UK? This refers to the date of your first entry into the UK at the beginning of the period of stay on which this application is based.


my initial entry was in 2007, however after 18 months gap in 2010 to 2011 , now i am claiming my 5 years from 29th august 2011 till 15th august 2016

my question is which date should I enter for 6.1 section should that be 29th August 2011 or sept 2007 my initial entry
