Conversion of past earnings. Which date to use?

Which date should be used if there is no date on the last wage slip for the period claimed? It simply states the month. Should it be the exchange rate for the first day of the month, the last day of the month or the date it is banked in?

Hiya,

If the Salary slip is for (say) December 2007, you need to use the rate prevailing on the 31 Dec 2007.
