Final check - Tier 2 Application

Post by Sreeni83 » Tue Aug 30, 2016 5:31 pm

Dear Friends,

I applied for Tier 2 last year in Feb 2015 and I am applying for change of jobs this week. things have changed massively. I have paid NHS surcharge, applied and submitted the Tier 2 extension online and now its asking me to take a print out of my Application form and then a check list, then bring other supporting documents. Is that it for my in person appointment? Reason why I am asking a query is because last year i remember filling the lengthy many pages Tier 2 form.

So i am listing things i need to take for my in person appointment as below

1. Application form- auto generated online
2. Check list - online
3. photo graphs 2
4. Cos Letter
5. Passport

Kindly confirm , so that my mind is at ease. Thanks for reading.

Regards
Sreeni

The purpose of the checklist is to specify what documents are required in addition to the application form. I am guessing your CoS covers you for maintenance.

I have booked Premium Service at Croydon office on 9th Sep 2016.

have you received the Immigration health surcharge receipt from Worldpay ?

After paying the Immigration health surcharge fee, I have received one email from the IHS with the below message - If you made a payment, you should have received a separate email receipt from Worldpay.

So far my understanding, we need carry below documments -

1. Application form - Online
2. Check list - online
3. One Passport photo
4. Cos Letter
5. Passport
6. biometric residence permit card
7. Bank Statement, Letter from HR & Payslips (Optional)

Correct me if i'm wrong. But you may have filled the wrong application form.

If you are switching jobs and your job code is changing or you are going to a different employer, then you need a new COS with an RLMT done by your new/current employer. You cant use tier 2 extension!!
You will surely be rejected straight away.

Correct. The prospective new employer must also be an approved sponsor. Also a new Tier 2 visa would be required with payment of the NHS surcharge.
