Hi all,

I have got my ILR approval letter and BRP on the same day. I had applied in the second week of April this year, along with 3 dependents. The overall process took 4 months and 3 weeks.

In the last 10 days of June, I had attempted a Premium Upgrade but was declined with the statement "Unfortunately your application is not eligible for an upgrade and will therefore continue to be processed in the postal route".

1st extension: self employed + employed.
2nd extension: employed only
ILR: employed only

Why don't you two ring the customer services and ask. Three months without an interview date is not acceptable. when did you both applied?

Hi,

I applied by myself for ILR in Feb and done biometrics in March. Since then no response or correspondence whatsoever from UKVI. Anyone in this situation?

My employers are asking now and then. What more can I do after this long wait.

Any advice is appreciated.

Many thanks.

Mike

Hello,
I have been a silent reader of this group, just wanting to update my application status: As by the grace of Almighty, I have now received my ILR approval after long waiting time of five months: My time lines are:

Category: Tier 1- five years.
Dependant: 01
Date Posted: 09/04/2016
Date Approval: 08/09/2016

Good luck to everyone waiting for the outcome, Please feel free to ask any question you may have: I did amend my tax returns. The case worker wrote me few days ago asking why I have not submitted my daughter's ILR application.

Hi Sharoon,

Many congrats on your much deserved ILR. As an decision awaiting applicant who has done amendments on taxes declared during my initial application and extension period .I request you answer some of my questions/doubts below. Your kind answers will help me and others in similar situations to have some relief

1. Was your ILR application/extension based on Payee or self employment?
2. For what periods did you make amendments?
3.Were you above the required income threshold before the amendments were done?
3.Was the amendment confirmation papers from HMRC send along with the application?
4. Did you try to upgrade your postal application to premium if yes, what was the result?

Many Thanks in advance.

Hi jarraj1102
here are my answers to your specific questions:

1. Was your ILR application/extension based on Payee or self employment?
-ILR: PAYE only, Initial application and extension with Self employed and PAYE both

2. For what periods did you make amendments?
-I amended 2011 returns and submitted 2013 returns very late( in Feb 2016).
3.Were you above the required income threshold before the amendments were done?
-No
3.Was the amendment confirmation papers from HMRC send along with the application?
-No, I thought that if they would need it, they will ask for it as it is not a mandatory requirement for me to supply them any documentation regarding my previous applications and therefore they can not just refuse me without listening to me.

4. Did you try to upgrade your postal application to premium if yes, what was the result
-No

No of applicants Main + 1 Dep
Applied 3rd Feb 2016
Delivered 4th Feb 2016
Fee taken 8th Feb 2016
Biometric letter 10th Feb 2016
Biometric submitted 12th Feb 2016
No email or letter confirmation afterwards.

Still waiting. Do you think its a good time to call up customer to find out why the delay? :?
So i just called the HO customer care to get a status update. I was informed that "No decision has been made" and that i should get a letter advicing me that the application has passed service time.

Has anyone experienced this? what should be my next line of action?
Hi Omokehinde,

What's the update on your application? Mine is now going 7 months

I have been a silent reader of this group, just wanting to update my Friends application status who is not much aware how to use this forum

This is his Timeline

T1E ILR Set(0), Main Applicant + 1 Dependent.
Application Sent 01/04/2016
Application Delivered 02/04/2016
Payment Taken 08/04/2016
BRP letter Received 16/04/2016
BRP Done 17/04/2016
Acknowledgment email - Never

He had done Amendments before applying - Mistake from Accountant (Formula Error on Calculaiton)

He received a letter last week

Thanks for your application

Although we would normally decide your application within six months from the date it was submitted , unfortunately this is not going to be possible in your case.

This is because your application raises exceptionally complex issues and we require further time to consider your case thoroughly and reach a decision

Any Advise !!

Hi SHari

Could you provide details of the tax years and the amounts that were amended. When were the amendments made ?

What was the formula error ? Could you please elaborate.

Were the the amended returns for a ltd company or sole trader ?

I have always seen that we blame the accountant for all errors ..... believe me if you have a good accountant then he will never make an error......
