Returning to UK alone with a FP accomp

Post by Sunnyday123 » Tue Sep 13, 2016 5:18 pm

Hi everyone!

I have a valid 6 month EEA Family permit its written TO ACCOMPNY xxxx
We have travelled together with my wife to UK and the officer stamped my passport.
I have an ongoing EEA2 application (surrinder singh)

Now my question.
I need to travel alone and come back alone while my wife is in UK.
What should I do becuase my flight is with easyjet and they are very strict and propbaly will say I cannot travel unless my wife is accompnying me.

Has anyone in the forum travelled alone to UK in the past with an "EEA FP To Accompny"?

Also is there any guideline etc. online that I can print and have with me?
Also what documents should I have with me?

Please help as I am really nervous and donot want to be denyed boarding ....

Certain budget airlines are a law to themselves and just make it up as they go along - they literally 'wing it'.

Ofcourse you may join sponsor who is in UK.
If you get as far as border this is how you will be greeted and interrogated by border guards/IOs/ECOs:

Thanks, I read the guideline.
Do you know any material that could help me with the airline staff?

No, as 'they' are a law to themselves.

Recent example, read and weep:

But the UKBF Ops Manual shows the relatively civilised welcome you should receive at the border if you get that far.

why don't you change airline? i doubt that there is any airport that only Easyjet flies into. I have used my FP to get back to the UK alone several times by air and by train, the only times that I had difficulties were with the Border Force while taking Eurostar.
