Proof of jobseeker status? (rock solid evidence)mashasha wrote:Hello. I have question before applying for permanent residence. Any help much appreciated.
I am EU national. I moved to UK Jan 2012 and started work March 2012 (was waiting for NI number then looking for work). Was working continuously during this 5 years part and full time. I am applying as qualified person who is working.
Can I apply straight away once 5 years pass from the day I moved here (jan 2012) or from the day i started work (march 2012)?
Thank you very much for any replies
I came here when I was 19 and applied for uni before I came so i thought I'm going to study mainly and didnt bother signing up for jobseekers, but then when i found job I changed my mind and refused to accept placement in uni when I was already working.noajthan wrote:Proof of jobseeker status? Online form is a new sevice, google it.
If staying loyal to current, monster form, section 9 applies to the person who is the EEA natioanl who exercised treaty rights. In this case, that's you.
For absences, list month/year if you can't remember precise dates and did not keep records, booking details & etc.
But simplify your life, look at shorter form. See which floats your boat.
Ahh and when i send th supporting documents, i need to prove my firs 5 years (out of 10) only or till recent days?noajthan wrote:Earlier, simpler form:Lakijozsi wrote:Hi!

If applying based on earlier years you need evidence relating to residence/absence for subsequent years to show that, if you had acquired PR, you did not lose it later.Lakijozsi wrote:Ahh and when i send th supporting documents, i need to prove my firs 5 years (out of 10) only or till recent days?

Hi,blueeyes wrote:Hello everyone,
Just came across this post.. might be helpful for most people, like myself, who normally request for passport return. This will save us from prolong wait for passport return after eea applications.

Where were children born?SRE wrote:Hi,
I am a non EU citizen married with French and we have been living in UK for more than 5 years. And now me and my husband want to apply for PR. We are still working on PR form and also their documents and soon we going to send it. But I have questions, do I need to apply PR as well for my 2 kids? both of them still toddlers. I am planning to apply PR only for me and my husband, and in the form there is a question that I have to explain why my kids is not included in the application. Is there anyone can help me answers the question? It would be very helpful, if you can help me. Thank you
Hi, both of them born in UK and have French Passport. Planning to apply British passport for them later after we have our PR. Is it ok if I don't included them in our application?Where were children born?
For example, if they were fortunate enough to be born in UK (before you were settled) they don't need PR as once a parent is settled they may be registered as British citizens.
If you were already settled when they were born they will be British already.

Allright then, thank you for your answers and wish me luck for the applicationsThey don't need PR.
Depending on DoB they are either British now (shoot for passport);
or else entitled to register as soon as one parent acquires holy grail of PR; (apply passport later).

Applying '3 months early' is meaningless and does not apply.
Apply when you have acquired PR - not
before.
How long married?
How long in UK?
When did sponsor become a qualified person?
Any prolonged absences from UK?

I need to request my documents back, does anyone know how to do this, and if it will delay the process in any way? Thank you
You should have acquired PR last month then (5th wedding anniversary), assuming you were based in UK by then.andrew786 wrote:Thanks for replying
