They did get back quite quickly for me.

If you applied on the basis of spouse, did you include your full version birth certificate and marriage certificate? As that is required too. Sometimes it causes a delay if they can't verify it quickly. That said on a spousal OCI application it should have been done by now if all the documents were there.

They must have already returned PIO card back to your father in law. PIO card is still valid and one can travel on it.

Hi Guys

I am confused on how and when will status be available on online. I had submitted mine and daughters OCI application at the same time and was contacted by CGI edinburgh to submit scanned copies online, but I am still not able to access the status of application on line as it states -- no records found.

Here's the update:
- Did it change to MOIA on the same date.- No, next day
- Did it change to dispatch on the same date. - as above
- Did the status change to Recieved in london already - Changed in 3 days from being processed

I will submit my British passport this week and hopefully will receive the OCI in next week or so.
Hope your application is also processed now. Also check if you could collect the OCI and passport in-person instead of waiting for the post. Someone in this thread did that.

It took 2 working days for my online status to show online. As there was a weekend since you applied, wait till tomorrow morning.

Hi,

I have posted OCI application for my Son. It's been more than 56 days and still the online status shows as Under-Process. I have called up helpline and mailed to VFS as well. None of them are able to provide me an update. Had any one came across this situation and any further suggestions would be highly appreciated. Details below of OCI application.

Hello Guys

I have submitted my application at Bristol VFS on 24-Jul-2016
Acknowlegment shown as 26-Jul-2016 (fine since weekend)

Today still is UNDER PROCESS

Emailed feedback@hcilondon they informed me my application has been sent to Protuguese embassy in Lisbon

I was shocked, Why do they have to sent to Portuguese embassy when i want an OCI is portuguese embassy in lisbon authrozing OCI ?

Tried calling the public response unit - NObody answers the call
Emailed them again - No response
Its now 70 days i submitted.

Any one has an idea what to do next.

Its on hold for me for security clearance for reasons god knows.

I have applied OCI in August for my daughter born in UK last year.

Following are details and still wondering how many days they take to process her OCI.

Application Date : 22-08-2016
VFS Center: Goswell Road,London

Registration status at Mission: London.
Documents Printing Status: Under process

Also I haven't seen --Registration status at Mission: London.. in anyone's post in this board.

Can anyone help me regarding my son's OCI application? My son (8months old) has got a British passport and was born in India. Wife is on Indian passport and me on British. What is the best route to apply for his OCI? His mom being Indian or me being an OCI holder?

its been around 76 days, no change in Status, send an email to info.london@hcilondon.in ( its been 10 days no reply on email), called public response unit of high commission 02086295950 ( No one picksup the phone).
From the same VFS office my friend applied on 8th August and he got his OCI card, any one has any idea please or its just wait n watch? thanks
