ooh! no. that's last thing you wanted :)

I have the first tracking number for the package I sent, but I don't have tracking number for the pre paid envelop. I checked my two receipts when I sent my application first and another one after I changed the address. Strange, why didn't post office gave me tracking number for pre-paid envelop which I paid for special delivery ?

To track your package, you need the number before you send it off and it'll be in the same format as your first tracking number.

Its often a barcode on the address label/sticker.
There are some peelable sections printed with the code - you are supposed to peel off that small piece of the label to keep for your records and for tracking later.

Thanks. Looks like I have missed that. I expected Post office to give or mention in the receipt.

I have found the Post Office very unhelpful where they expect you to do all the work and then pay them. Considering I paid £25 (£11 for postage either side plus packaging) for their services, they really are very much just a drop-off point.

Hi all,

Good news at last after a 4 months wait.
Updated timeline below

Application posted: 02/07/2016
Documents received: 04/07/2016
Payment taken: 06/07/2016
Confirmation email: 04/08/2016
DCPR dated: 29/10/2016
DCPR received: 05/11/2016

Did not send a pre paid envelope. All documents received today in one pack (2nd class recorded). As far as I am aware everything is here except for the EEA residence permit back from 2006. Guess DCPR overrides that? Would have been nice to keep it for future reference, but wasn't given a choice.

Yes, DCPR/PRC trumps RC.

 Pro tip: always keep scans and copies of all documents and evidence ever submitted to UKVI/HO.
Also make copies of all application forms and payment forms submitted. For ever.

not sure if that helps, I sent my application on 22/06, HO received it 23/06 and I already received my PR on the 28/10, PR dated 20/10. I am EU national application, so no biometrics involved.

Excellent and congratulations. My 3.5 months went quickly but I was less busy recently and was getting twitchy :).

Hope it's all good news for you tomorrow or Monday. Patience is a virtue I never possessed and it's been a very long wait.

Just checked my return tracker number on the Royal Post's site and it's on its way back! Sent the application in during the week before the referendum.

Should be here by Monday.

Wish me luck, please. Very nervous and hopeful, though, I did make a mistake with the absences bit on the form...Still, fingers crossed

Post by JuliaBB » Sat Nov 05, 2016 6:58 pm

Sent: 24/06/2016 day after the referendum
Received: next Monday
Payment taken: also the week after sending
Confirmation email: 28/07/2016
Passport requested back: n/a
Passport received: n/a
DCPR date: 26/10/2016
DCPR received: 03/11/2016

EU nationals.

We send the application for the whole family but only received the PR Card for the main applicant, I called and they said not to worry. Anybody had this and how long did it take for the rest of the cards to arrive? We received all the documentation and all IDs back already.

My application was received on 22 June and because i got no card, few weeks ago i called them and asked about it and they said i did not qualify because i had no health inssurance for few months. I would think you should call them as well ... just so you know...

My PR timeline below. I'm Finnish-American, been in the UK 7 years as self-sufficient, while also studying and looking for work.

Submitted: 17/6
Received: 20/6
Payment: 23/6
Conf email: 18/7
Still waiting.

I seem to be a few days to a few weeks behind schedule, looking at results others have just gotten. Going to call up tomorrow and try to get some information.

Just got the DCPR and it was dated 1/11/2016. Will post my full timeline later.

Unfortunately I could not kill two birds with one stone and get the effective date for permanent residence. Off to research the forum and this thread for a SAR request.

The link has been posted a bit further up in this thread. If you can't find it just google 'return of documents'.

I phoned. As suspected, they won't give any information until the 6 months processing window has passed. Back to waiting.

Thanks Right! I didn't miss that postman indeed. He was knocking on my door at 8am this morning! And with such amazing news!

My timeline:
Sent: 14/06/2016
Received by HO: 15/06/2016
Payment was taken: 17/06/2016
Confirmation email: 13/07/2016
Passport sent back (without me asking for it): 17/07/2016
PR dated: 1/11/2016
PR arrived 7/11/2016

146 days

I did send it to the Durham address, but my whole application seemed to have been processed in Liverpool. I'm not sure if that's standard. That was the place my passport came back from, as well.

Thanks to this board for all the help! You've been an amazing community with a wealth of knowledge to turn to in the hours of desperation and confusion. I wish the best of luck to everyone who is still waiting!
