We are a family of four members - me, my wife & 2 kids.

I had applied for my ILR for an in-person premium application in-time. At the time of my application, the case worker clarified with me as to why I did not apply for my family - I reasoned that the cost of premium application was the main factor. My ILR was approved on the basis of having completed 5 years on Tier-1 (G). When we got that, we applied for ILR for my wife and kids as my dependents. Here are the timelines of our application:

Application form posted On 12/May/2016
Biometric Request Received On 10/Jun/2016
Biometric Submitted On 11/Jun/2016
Approval Letter Received 12/Nov/2016
BRP Cards Received 19/Nov/2016

As you can see, the decision reached us in exact 6 months from the date of application. Apart from the request for BRP and the final decision letter, we did not get any communication at all from the home office. I was monitoring the progress on applications on this forum, and had decided to call them after 6 months had passed - but luckily we didn't have to go down that route.

All the best for everyone who is waiting for their outcome.

It's frustrating not to have any information on the progress of the ILR application.
Mine was posted on 28 May 2016 and today is only 5 days from the UKVI's stated 6 month service standard, but have no news yet.
Awaiting a miracle.

Hi everyone,

After a very long & stressful wait my ILR application has finally been approved. I recommend to anyone who has not yet applied that you should think about using the in-person premium service, as 6 months is a very long time to be without your passport.

Good luck to everyone who is still waiting for a response :-)

I spoke to the law firm which did my application on Friday (the 18th). They said that most of their ILR applications via the Tier 1 (General) route are being approved on, or within a few days of the 6 month mark.

Has anyone heard any additional anecdotal information on how long Tier 1 (General) applications are taking?

From looking through this forum it looks like the Ancestry ILR applications are taking about 5.5 months to process, while the Tier 1 are taking a lot longer.

Hi EVERYONE !

I did apply for ILR( Set o) tier 1 Gen. on 26 Jan 2016. done Bio metrics on 08/02/16.On 21st of July HO wrote me a letter which says that there are some complex issues in my case and they need further time to decide my case and since then i have not heard anything. Its nearly 10 months now since I submitted my case. is anyone else in a same condition like me as I did have some tax amendments too.. I am wondering what should I do ? shall I contact HO as I already did through email and phone call but there wasn't any outcome of that, they just said that my case is under process. if u guys have any suggestions it must be highly appreciated Thanks.

Hi,

I have been to the interview. They asked various questions relating to how I transact my business, no questions asked about tax or previous application. But they noticed a serious accountant error on P&L account. My account oversight is now a problem for me. Please can the Guru's anyone advise what to do next?

Hi Sanshah,

My case is pretty similar - I applied on 24th March 2016 and at the end of 6 months, I received the same letter too. It has been 8 months now and I'm still waiting. I have to say though, that I asked a solicitor and that letter is sent as a template to anyone who's case has been decided on within the 6 month period and is not alarming at all. I have read on the forum where applicants have received their approval letters after a few weeks of this letter so I wouldn't worry too much.
I guess we could only wait, unless you can request them to expedite your case on compelling circumstances, ie. you need to travel for very important reasons.

Good luck!

G

Hi Guys, it's Ram

There are no specific timelines for postal applications. It is all depend upon application, caseworker, information provided, information needed for HO and <&$?> to approve the application.

My Application details
Tier 1 General Set(0) -- 2+3 years, 1 Dependent
Post Application :22-02-2016
Received at HO : 23-02-2016
Biometric submitted : 24-03-2016
Done amendments for 2011. Not submitted SA302 to HO.
No Monthly EMails Received

Upgrade to premium service email sent on 21/06/2016. Email received premium service not accepting Premium on 23/06/2016.

Got a letter from HO on August 01 stating that they have requested info from other govt agency(probably HMRC in my scenario).

Mine passes 9 months this week. My suggestion is to wait, wait and wait without sending any letters or chasing them, that may delay the process. Hope everyone will get possitive news but on delayed time.

Change accountant. Ask for refund of accounting fees to date.

Thank you for the response. Can you do this Asap and send a new p&L to the HO or do this after a decision has been taken
