No Communication from HO - 9 weeks

I submitted my application for extension about 9 weeks ago. I have received the confirmation of receipt of application, and that application should be decided within 8 weeks, and if not there will be a letter to notify if it will take more than the standard maximum 8 weeks. There has been no communication from HO. I'm a bit confused on what to do. Advise please

Mine is the same.

I provided the fingerprint on 12th October and my solicitor send additional documents on 27th October( not required by the home office just my solicitor sent by himself)

And no any comments from them after fingerprint. I am assuming we will have the interview sooner or later.

Is your case straightforward?

Same here sent on 7th october
biometric done on 25th october
since then no news
looks like the case worker our cases are assigned is lazy and slow.

....but, it was specifically stated that "we will notify you by letter.....if application will not be decided within 8 weeks from date of submission"

any of u got NHS partial refund back in ur acc ?

i think interview letter come soon or might be busy coz christmas coming soon

I wish all of us don't need any interview and get visa quickly however it seems if anyone don't need interview, they will get visa within two months. It was not a good sign for us as Home office didn't issue our visa within two months. We need prepare interview now just in case they will call us for interview. Of course I don't want to interview as well.

I am still not sure why home office thought my application is complex, I submit three years PayPal account and worldpay account information, promotion materials.... Maybe I submit to much documents and it will help them to raise more interview question for me.

Yes (that is glaring)

......just for people in this delay to be prepared for a long ride, as it had happened before. On interview, I believe all those people that had been called for interview had received notification letter/email within the 8 weeks period (not 100% sure though).

I saw many posts saying they have received a letter of confirmation of receipt of application. Is this common? I haven't receive such letter on both occasions, the first and the fresh application!

I didn't received the confirmation letter either.

I didn't received the confirmation letter either.

The confirmation letter is always sent together with the biometric letter, same envelop - recheck.

Biometrics: 8th November-16

No Reply yet
This is really hard time
Checking post and bank account for IHS refund every day
Always thinking of application

Please comment if someone got any opinion about delay
I can understand its all depends on application and case worker but I did not miss any single document.
I have reviewed each posts on board and read policy guidance thoroughly before submitting application.
I still can not understand the reason of delay.

Hello Guys,

Anyone got visa after 12th December 2016 who applied after 20th October -2016 (about 8 Weeks Period ) ?
I have seen delays in some applications.
This delay might be due to Christmas holidays.
I just want to check if someone got during this period or everyone's application got delayed.

This thread might annoy some people but I think those people who are in same boat will understand the pain of wait after 8 weeks time period.

Any information could be helpful for some people.
