Payment was taken on 2 Sep, Received Certificate of application and Biometric request letter on13th sep, Biometric for my daughter sent on 18th September. requested my documents back on 22nd December but I havent received my documents back yet. It will b 5 months on 2 Feb, what should i do? I am very worried about my application
you have just answered your own question, you better off keep yourself busy, talk about it when you more than 6 months and even that you may not say much anyway!
but its not fair, some people get their Pr card in under 5 months and some have to wait more then 6 months.

Hello all,

Long time lurker, advise and guidance on here has been helpful, even for a straightforward application as mine, Belgian citizen, working in the UK since 1994.

I submitted my Belgian ID card as had a holiday planned in the USA for which I would have needed my passport and didn't want to the run risk of not getting it back in time using the passport return service.

Application sent: 31 Oct 2016 (electronically)
Application received: 31 Oct 2016
Submitted all the paper work through the nationality checking service on 01 Nov 2016
Payment taken: 31 Oct 2016
Confirmation email from HO - 01 Nov 2016
PRCard - received on 3/2/17, with all my documents

When I printed the on line application, it was only 11 pages, and the bulk of that was time out of the country, for which I only entered the information I had, going back to Dec 1999.

Now for the nationality application, just wished it could be filled in on line as well as writing out all the dates get very tedious!

Can you apply for PR after a divorce of a 6 year marriage to EU national and living and working in the uk for continuous 5 years or do you have to retain your rights before PR application or should you apply for both at the same time?
Shoot for PR confirmation
Thanks Noajthan.

Additionally, I understand that once ROR RC is acquired then on applying for PR I will only need to submit documents to prove that I have lived and exercise treaty rights in the UK after divorce. Do I need to show any documents from my ex sponsor? What is the right way for a ROR RC holder to apply for PR?

I am a EU citizen, Italian. I submitted evidence of residency for the period of continuous employment from 2003 to 2009 and acquired PR right in 2008. It seems that the HO are processing PRs a bit quicker from December 2016. Good luck!

Hi all, I have noticed that my PR document has no expiry date, just a date of issue. Anyone know for how long is it and when I have to renew? Thanks.

Hi everyone.
This forum has been really helpful, thank you very much! I'm in the process of filling out an online form and I'm an EEA citizen having been living in the UK for 7 years. One day, when I logged back in to the application to put more details about absences from the UK, this question wasn't there anymore. All my answers previously entered disappeared and the question as well. I thought it was a technical glitch, so I created a new account and entered all the information again until I reached the point where that question should appear, however it wasn't there and it took me straight to the question about absences from the UK longer than 6 months within one year.
Has anyone else noticed this? Does it mean that HO decided to withdraw this question from the application and now only asks for periods longer than 6 months?
Interestingly, they didn't update the paper PDF form and the question is still there...

Any thoughts? Thanks so much.

Risky.
But you could try requesting return of passports in meantime.
I would like to request return of documents. I would just like to clarify, can I request to get both my passport and residence card back to travel? I have ROR which expires in 4 years so would I get this back along with my passport whilst they consider my application? Also, does it affect the application in any way to request my documents back?

My timeline:
Application sent: 5/12/16
Biometric letter: 24/12/16
Biometric enrolled: 28/12/16
COA received: 16/01/17

Dear all,

I would like to ask you a couple of questions regarding my wife's PR application as well as my application.

My Wife is an Italian who came to the UK in 1999 as a Student with her parents, Since 1999 she was only absent from the UK for 2.5 years, this absence happened when she went to Costa Rica to meet her parents as they are now retired and live in Costa Rica, my wife and I met in Costa Rica and came to the UK in Aug 2012.

I arrived in the UK with her in 2012 with a Family Permit and since then we have both been working, during the first few months she was a student and we both had Comprehensive Insurance.

My questions are the following:

1-) Can My wife apply for a Permanent Residence now since she has been here since 1999 and can show that she was working and studying the whole time until 2010 when she went to Costa Rica?

2-) Does she needs to wait until the Aug this year so she would have been here for a 5 years since Aug 2012?

and in my case.

1-) I came as as a Costa Rican with a Family permit, NON-EEA and I applied for a resident card which is what I have now and it will expire in Aug 2017. Can I apply for a Permanent Resident Card?

2-) I became an Italian about a year ago as I am married to her and I finally got the Italian Passport, so when I apply for a Permanent Resident card. Do I apply as a NON EEA and as an Italian or just as an Italian?

and one more thing :-) We now have a baby boy who is only 1 year and was born here in the UK :D :D

Thank You

Regards

Reuben

Hi,

When did you request your passport back and did you get your residence card back as well?

Hi all,

I'm non-eea national, applied for PR in October together with my spouse eea national, still waiting for PRs. One of my colleagues applied in December (the same case) and got everything last week. My colleagues' friend (also eea and non-eea application) applied in November and got all papers two weeks ago.

Fingers crossed!

All,

Just a quick update -

Wife (EEA National) applied for her PR in late December.
Payment was taken on 29/12

We did not receive a confirmation email or any other form of acknowledgement of the application.

However we just received her PR in the post this morning!

Less than 2 months for the whole paper route application, which is quite amazing and for which the HO deserves credit.

I am a non EEA partner, whose 5 year permit expires in mid May, so will be applying for my own PR afterwards.

Will post updates on the timeline of that application as well. I had originally assumed that it would take at least until the end of the year, but given the above timelines as well as the fact that my own initial 5 year residence permit came back in 2 months back in 2012, I'm hopeful for a hattrick of painless applications.
