Does UK Refugee need visa to visit Ireland?

Hello


I've recently received Refugee status Leave to remain in UK for 5 years
I want to visit Ireland for Rugby game
do I need visa to visit Ireland or is it possible to Travel on my Residence Permit?

You need a travel document to travel. Your BRP does not count as a travel document. The is the official answer.

Assuming your are going to Southern Ireland there is a chance they will not even bother checking your details as you basically can have free movement between UK and Eire but you are taking a risk.

But my question is do l need a visa for short stay?

Hi, If you have been granted Refugee Status, you will need to apply for a Convention Travel Document (CTD) to be able to travel outside the UK. On the back page of that document, it tells you which countries you can travel to visa-free for a visit no longer than 3 months. I think Eire is one of them, but you will be made aware of that on the CTD.
