165 days and 135 days out side uk and now long residency

Post by Mrchaany » Thu Mar 02, 2017 1:55 pm

Hi all users,

My question is can ukvi rise question about 165 days outside uk in 2013-14 and then 135 days outside uk in 2014-15.
I have justification like family visit plus engagement and marriage, but still worried my long residency ILR application to ukvi.

Are you trying to split a long absence into two years or are they two completely separate absences?

No issue then. Remember to make sure ALL your absences for the whole 10 years is within the 540 days limit.

Just a related question.
Can absences greater than 180 days be split between two years for LR?
Any suggestions I make in the forum are out my personal experience and should not be taken as a legal/professional advise.

Just thought I add something to this thread.

A person's qualifying period under 10 years long residence, commences from their entry.

If within a whole 12 months of your qualifying period you spend a total of 180 days overseas, then you are excluded.

There doesn't appear to be any provisions for splitting up more than 180 continuous absent days under Long residence.
