Tier 2 (General) and Director in an Indian company

Hi,
Can someone be a director in a private limited company registered in India while working for an employer in UK on Tier 2 work permit? The business of Indian company and UK employer are different.
If the answer is yes, then -

1. Can this person get a salary/percentage of company profit from Indian company, as well as salary from UK employer?
2. Can Tier 2 be switched to Tier 1 (Entrepreneur), funding more than £200,000?

Yes, Only if you are getting the salary / Percentage in INR from the Indian company. And the operations of the Indian company are not effecting the UK Tier 2 employee duties

Thanks Mahir1108 for your response. Additional question - is it mandatory to notify the UK employer before becoming a director in the Indian company? Thanks.
