Switch from Tier 2 General to Tier 1 Entrepreneur Visa

Hi, I am currently having Tier2 General visa valid until May 2019. I would like to switch to Tier1 Entrepreneur visa. I would like to know what will happen to my Tier 2 Visa if my Tier 1 visa is rejected due to any reason. Is my Tier 2 still valid and can work for my sponsor. Please let me know.

Yes if refused no effect on last visa
