Tier 1 Gen dep visa app renewal - Other visa options?

Dear friends

Need your help please again.

I have just applied for my british citizenship a week ago. My wife and my daughter are currently in UK on Tier 1 dependent visas but there was a gap in their visas as below.

1st Tier 1 dependent application - Issue date: 04/01/2013; Expiry: 01/07/2014
2nd Tier 1 dependent application - Issue date: 19/09/2014; Expiry: 30/06/2017

Between 1st expiry and 2nd time visa issue dates, there was a gap of 49 days and they were in India during that time.

I was told that because of this gap their 5 year period for qualifying for ILR will start again from 19/09/14, Is that true?

I am planning to apply for their Tier 1 renewal now, obviously the fees for Tier 1 dep application in UK is expensive, its coming around 4800 GBP, are there any other visa options available that I could switch their visas to avoid this large fees without affecting their current timeline for ILR, which is 5 year period starting from 19/09/12014.

Please could you review my situation and let me know what options I have.

FLR(M) which is cheaper but this will reset their clock to zero and a new 5 year period (2 X 2.5 year visas).

Tier 1 dependent extension is issued for 3 years so they will be fine to reach 5 years in 2019 for ILR. This is the quickest route for them to ILR.

All this assuming you got IT based on tier 1 and not long residence.

Sorry to start another thread as I am not sure if I can continue in the topic I started this morning.

I have just applied for my citizenship a week ago, and I am applying to renew my wife and my daughter’s tier 1 general dependant visas.

Please could you help me in filling out Online Tier 1 dependant application form.

I started filling the application online and these are few queries I have please let me know your feedback:

The person you are joining or accompanying
I provided my details for this.
Which visa or permission to stay has I applied for or been granted?
There is no option for me to select ILR, so I chose Tier 1 General visa.
Do I have one of the home office reference numbers?
I gave my ILR BRP number, is that fine?

Applicant 1: My wife details
Are you currently a dependant of a points based migrant? I said YES, is this right as I am on ILR now
Applicant 2: My daughter details
Are you currently a dependant of a points based migrant? I said YES, is this right as I am on ILR now

Declaration
Following two options are available to choose, shall the pick the second one as I am not an applicant. Please could you let me know.

1. I am an applicant and I am authorised to act on behalf of the other applicants and have discussed and confirmed the contents of this application with them
2. I am a representative of the applicants and have been authorised to act on their behalf and have discussed and confirmed the contents of this application with them

Why don't you do the paper form as she is applying ALONE.

It appears applying online will have few additional options in getting the response back from Home office quickly -

like the decision within 10 days (not sure of name)
decision within 8 weeks (priority)
decision on same day (premium)

I have seen above while filling the form, am not sure what are the charges though.

If you know, please could you answer my queries.

Paper form can also use premium service as far as I am aware, costs an extra £590 though on top of the visa fee and IHS fee.

I don't have experience with the online forms and I cannot see what you see.

Just one last query please.
For proving maintenance, I can show my bank statements for last three months, correct? The bank statements does not have to be on my wife's name. Please could you confirm?
