ILR- Documents Requirment

Post by momer79 » Mon Feb 18, 2008 1:15 pm

Hi,

My ILR is due in Oct 2008 on the basis of 2 yr marriage visa. As i have read on ILR application form that 20 documents are required from 5 different resources on both my and my wife's name with address or either of our names.

Does it mean that i have to provide 100 documents in total 20 x 5 = 100?

Or

Its 5 x 4 = 20?

Also if 4 documents are require from each of 5 resources then what dates should be on these letteres? For example if i am showing bank statement then should it be from 4 diferent months?

Thanks

I sent only about 10 docs in total. Some of them individuals one( (college, doctors, employment, medical card mail order) rand 3 shared ones(bank statement, council tax, joint gas bill).

Just telll you dont have anymore. Be honest with them, dont produce fakes just for the sake of it.

I am not sure if 4 x 5 = 20
If you see this calculation it shows that actually 4=5

16-36=25-45
16-36+(9/2)^2=25-45+(9/2)^2
16-36+(9/2)^2=[4-(9/2)]^2
25-45+(9/2)^2=[5-(9/2)]^2
[4-(9/2)]^2=[5-(9/2)]^2
4-(9/2)=5-(9/2)
4=5

So it could be either (4x4) =16 documents or (5x5)=25 documents
Therefore you might need to have documents between 16 and 25 to be precise

Gaman, having read that I think I am close to brain death!

Momer79, it is clearly a total of 20 documents, from at least 5 different providers.

Lots of combinations are possible, such as 10 from source A, 5 from source B, 2 from each of sources C & D, and one from source E. etc etc etc

John, I know it was a bit silly of me but I was using a bit of my commonsense!!!

momer79, my conclusion about no. of documents between 16 to 25 is not right... that was joke!

John has, as always, very clearly elaborated the requirements above.
I am also applying soon for ILR and I believe that having different sources spread evenly to cover roughly the past 2 years is the idea here to prove that you have been cohabiting with your partner.

I send 20 total if joint, but 20 each if they are all in different names, and somewhere in between if there is a combination.
